Service was awesome! Super friendly Hostess and great servers all around! Food was stellar as well! I had the Seafood Stew and my Girlfriend got the lobster and both meals were amazing! The lobster was easily 2lbs too and only $42 š¤Æš¤Æ
Id definitely recommend this spot
First time here last night. My meal was great. My cousin wasnāt a fan of hers. I had the trio burger and she had trio fish. The sauce threw it off. Fair portion size and price was decent. Our server took our order, and we didnāt see her again until the meal was almost over when she came to check in. It was busy but not enough that we shouldnāt have had a check in before that. I would go back again though and likely will. Itās nice to see a restaurant in Sydney that is classy.
Nice servers. Food is below average with above average prices and it took the cooks an hour to make eggs sausage and potatoes
Trio was always our favourite restaurant. Tonightās meal & experience were disappointing. My husbandās steak was cold & he did not get his mushrooms & onions. He was told that heād be given a new steak but all they did was heat his steak which went from being medium rare to medium. He did get his mushrooms & onions when reminded the server. My risotto was really runny. Our server never asked us if we wanted more drinks (we had ordered cocktails). We were clearly not pleased with our meals or experience and were very disappointed that nothing was done to rectify the issue.
Went here for valentine day because Iāve always loved the food here. We ordered the marry me chicken (it was the Valentineās Day menu). The description said it was chicken breast but we ended up getting chicken thighs - and no we were not notified of this. So cutting into it, Iām thinking Iām getting a chicken breast. Was very hard to eat, there was way too many bones. The flavour was very BLAND. Be sure to use the salt and pepper if you want any bit of flavour. There was little to no meat on the thighs. It also said on the menu that our main came with baguette - we did not receive this and were also not notified if they were out. The mashed potatoes were cold and were starting to dry up on the outside - also very bland for a āgarlic mashā. The green beans were cold and tasted like they were frozen. My boyfriend got fries as his side and they tasted like they were deep fried over and over again - they were overcooked, soaked in oil and had zero seasoning. We didnāt even bother with dessert as we were super disappointed in the quality of the food we had already received. I have never left a restaurant feeling as unsatisfied as I was Saturday night. We always had good experiences here but it seems the food quality has gone way down and the prices have gone way up!
Also disappointed in where we were seated. The table we were sat at was the about the size for children. I felt so uncomfortable. There was barely enough room to put our food down without having to move things around. We were also sat sooo close to other people that we felt like we were right on top of them. We could hear their conversations and they could hear ours. Not very āromanticā for Valentines Day. There were plenty of tables empty all over the restaurant as we were one of the last couples to be seated for the evening - I get it, people have sections, but I would have liked a bit more space.
Not sure if the food quality was so poor because we were one of the last couples of the night and the staff just wanted to go home after a long day, but that should not ever affect your food quality. Also, if they were out of items, they should have notified us.
On a positive note, our server was the highlight of our evening, she was very polite and provided quick and efficient service. I canāt remember her name but she was in her 20s & had long dark hair.
Great service and great food
Loved their shrimps tacos & was amazed by their bacon wrapped huge scallops appetizer which cooked perfectly. Really nice atmosphere too.
Trio Restaurant inside the Simon Hotel in Sydney is an excellent choice for a memorable dining experience. My group and I recently visited for dinner, and we were all impressed with the combination of delicious food, modern ambiance, and outstanding service.
The decor of the restaurant is sleek and contemporary, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. Itās the kind of place that feels special but still comfortable enough to enjoy a relaxed meal.
The service was a standout feature of the evening. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. One of our guests had specific dietary restrictions, and the restaurant was incredibly accommodating, making adjustments without any hesitation.
We all ordered the seafood Alfredo, and it was truly exceptional. The dish was generously loaded with seafood, including fish, mussels, and scallops, all of which were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy, complementing the seafood beautifully. While I personally wished there had been a bit more pasta, the generous seafood portions more than made up for it.
By the end of the meal, we were all thoroughly satisfied and full, which speaks to both the quality and portion sizes. It was clear that every detail had been carefully considered to create an enjoyable dining experience.
Good portion size and tasted good.

The food portions were on the small side.We had roasted chicken with mango salsa, blackened haddock and fries. It was kind of bland, nothing special. The food was pricey for what we received,I really don't see myself returning. Two years ago Trios was great, not anymore.

Dinner was fantastic. Had their salmon with seasonable vegetable and salad. Salmon was cooked perfectly tasted great. Vegetable was perfectly cooked green beans almandine, salad was great. Ordered apple crisp for dessert. Apples were cooked but retained their texture. Crisp was delightful and scoop of vanilla ice cream made the dish perfect. So delighted to have made Trio my last meal this trip to Sydney

Tried to order from Trio when staying at the Simon Hotel - wanted room success for breakfast, menus were provided in the room but when we called to order we were told the items we wanted were no longer on the menu. We were not offered any information of what was on the current menu, tried to look online but only the dinner menu was on the website. Business lost as we decided dive we needed to leave the room anyways we would support a local cafe (recommend doktor Lukes for fantastic coffee and fresh baked goodies).
Very good service and food was great
