The staff are super friendly and the food is top notch . you have to try the maple bourbon bbq burger , but all the food we have had on our many stays has been excellent

The server was great! The kitchen service and food when it finally arrived (an hour later) was not good. My friend and I were the first people in at 11:35 am. Two other people came in about 10 minutes later. We were the only customers in the restaurant. I order the steak and pepper sandwich,medium rare. My friend ordered the fancy burger. We watched the server go in and out of the kitchen multiple times. At about the time I figured out meals were ready, the server came out carrying two dishes. Unfortunately it was for the second table who came in after us by 10 minutes. By the 30 minute mark I started to wonder if they had to go butcher a cow, then we thought they went to the store to buy beef. It was exactly one hour after placing the order that our food came out. My medium rare steak was well done. The hamburger was missing the garnishes and dry. Our great server asked if we wanted to send it back. I said no, because I may never see it again and I am hungry. The server felt so bad and said it happens alot. I was looking for a nice restaurant to go to on a regular basis. I don't have the time to sit and wait an hour for over cooked food. A 50.00 meal for two should not take an hour to prepare. Combined cooking time would be 22 minutes. What was happening for the next 38 minutes? Do better. Pay for our lunch in the very least.

Had dinner here because it was a long weekend and most of the other restaurants were closed. It is inside a hotel -- Inn on Prince -- but do not let that stop you. The place looks remodeled and is clean & neat. The staff were super friendly. The food was excellent too.

I normally don't leave negative reviews but tonight I had the worst meal I've had in Nova Scotia. Now was there only one chef on, yes. But the wings came out, overcooked and super greasy. The cream of asparagus soup congealed on top and was just a bit more than warm and it took almost an hour to get the food after ordering.
It was a very off putting experience for a $184 bill.
To be honest the only thing that was good was our lovely server and the mozza sticks.
After this experience, I probably won't be back.

Staying at the hotel and thought we would try the Bistro for supper tonight. We had the crusted haddock special. I can't say enough it was excellent and the portions were very generous. The server was also very friendly, couldn't have been better. High recommend. Great place ?

We arrived 10 minutes before the kitchen closed at 8:50 PM And were the last table set this evening. Super nice server and you could not expect a better meal. Everything was delicious. We had the tomahawk pork chop and fish and chips.

We decided to stop by The Bistro for supper. Finally after almost a 2-hour wait we received our check. It took almost half an hour for us to get a glass of water and utensils. It then took more than 20 minutes for someone to come back and take our order. We then waited almost another half hour to receive our meal. The waitress was very apologetic and said that they were short staffed and offered dessert on the house which we declined. I guess it's a sign of the times but we won't be going back there again anytime soon. Sorry for the bad review I hate to do that but anybody that's planning on going there needs to know that it will be a lengthy visit.

Dietary restrictions: Not great for gluten free anymore, wings are breaded and limited selection of other things. I'm celiac and didn't feel great after having the ribs and the sadly overcooked halibut on 2 different occasions while staying here.
last night (Thursday July 4th) I ordered the chicken parmesan dinner. I was served a rotten potato with my meal. I did not eat it and the waitress deleted 2.75 from my bill. I did not challenge this at the time as I was enjoying time with friends I had not seen in a very long time. However upon reflection I am very concerned that not only did the chef present a rotten potato on the plate but the waitress did not challenge it before she served it to me. She was not surprised that I did not eat it but very quickly offered to delete the cost from my bill. Also when we went to pay the bills she was confused as to what each of us had ordered.
There are two issues here, one that I was served inedible food, and two the waitress was totally confused as to the individual orders.
As a rating for my first experience at the Bistro on Prince, -1 would be accurate.

Tonights dinner made up for the jalapenos on my bourbon burger yesterday. Highly recommend. If I lived here, this would be my go to for wings and ribs hands down. Cheers!

Wonderful restaurant. We so enjoyed an absolute delicious lunch there on Sept. 27. We ordered the lobster panini with side salad . It was delicious. Everything great. We I’ll be back so if you would like to be served delicious food, please visit soon.

Food was amazing. We had the fish & chips, thai mussels, and seafood pasta. Everything was fresh, and well worth the price. There was only 5 people in the restaurant dining, and service was quite slow. That would be my only complaint considering how it wasn't busy. Definitely would dine again
