Best delivery pizza experience OF MY LIFE! And listen, I’ve had some amazing pizzas from Costa Rica, Italy, Slovenia, and Toronto where the pizza game is top tier, and I’m not gonna lie Greco is in the top 3 of best pizzas I’ve ever had?!! Ok seriously my photo doesn’t do it justice so just listen to this mouth-watering description.
There was a club meeting study session at my uni campus (im 1000 miles away from home, first year) in the library and they ordered 4 PARTY SIZED BUILD YOU OWN Pizzas (and they came with all the tiny tables too🥺, like nostalgia to THE MAX) from a local place called Greco! like 112 slices total.
I have never heard of this place before then (I'm from Toronto so there’s no Greco here) but I LOVE taste testing pizzas from new places and it looked so good so i took 1 of each flavour to go wrapped between 2 paper plates and a napkin: a cheese slice, a mighty meaty slice, and a veggie slice.
They were delivered and had probably been in the boxes for around an hour at this point so it didn’t LOOK like it would taste that great and I was feeling skeptical like “is this even worth trying”? I have one word for you: YES YES AND YES!!
Walking back to my dorm it was pouring rain and I was so hungry and went into my bag to open and just take a little nibble of the pizza. it wasn’t even warm, instead that delicious room temperature, and it was INCREDIBLE.
So then instead of nervously eating it standing up and not enjoying it I decided to sit on this bench overlooking the school’s rock garden and it’s all dark outside cause it’s night and it’s raining and something about eating that pizza in the rain, after being so hungry for weeks that just hit different.
I could TASTE that pizza was made of love. The crust had that olive oily, perfectly light golden bottom crust that had a focaccia like structure to it. Like my taste buds were getting a warm hug from these mouth watering flavours while sitting it the rain. The sauce was so juicy, a little sweet and all the toppings were so INTERESTING which I loved and so good.
The juicy meaty sausage with the salty bacon and the hearty salami. The yummy bell peppers on the veggie slice that were so perfectly cooked like not soggy or bland at all. Seriously, not one slice missed!
The pizza wasn’t fresh out of the oven, but it didn’t need to be, it somehow tasted so BOMB at that room temperature. Extreme temperatures can mute flavours so I found I really got to taste all the juicy, saucy meatiness to its full potential at that room temperature.
And The SAUCE made it, it was BURSTING with flavour but also the cheese was so good and the crust was soft and chewy and some parts still had a lilll crunch😊.
It had the perfect ratio of toppings, to cheese, to sauce, to crust. Not one element overpowered the other.
And even though i had 3 slices (albeit they weren’t giant) they didn’t leave me feeling heavy or like a brick was in my stomach after, I felt still really like and good even hours after! I do think it’s that light and airy focaccia-like olive oily crust 😋
A 10/10 experience. I would give the pizza an 8/10 it was SO FRICKIN GOOD. And they sell DONAIR PIZZA AND donairs with their own GRECO DONAIR SAUCE?! Are you kidding?! Seriously, what’s not to love.
Thank you Greco for making my beautiful rainy night my first-year at uni in a new province so memorable ♥️

Can't rate atmosphere because I have not entered the new store since the move up Robie Street. Pizza is always hot and ready with great taste. Referred to others. Been eating Greco for over 20 years.

Front counter staff lady kinda ignored me when I asked about something. Food was good, but didn't like overall service at all.

Pizza was ready on time. Made to perfection. Excellent service from staff. Very polite and helpful.
Worst donair sub I've ever had. Greco used to make the best and I used to eat one every 2nd weekend.
But I guess since they took over captain sub they changed the way they are made. The sub bun was skinny so ovcourse everything fell out trying to eat it. The meat was cold, cheese wasn't melted.
It's was an $18 knockoff. I thought I was treating myself, haven't eaten out in an extremely long time and I was left feeling I wasted my money.
Ordered a pizza online, arrived 25 minutes later fresh & hot. Super delicious. Cooked to perfection!
Ordered a pizza for me and my wife asked for it to be well done. It shows up hardly cut enough sauce for 3 pizzas and far from well done... I'm never going back to this dive I like the pizza when it's good. But tonight was the strew that broke the camels back
