If this restaurant was in Toronto, it would be one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto. Top tier authentic Vietnamese food.

Eating my way through the Vietnamese restaurants in Eastern Canada.
On my way to Cape Breton from New Brunswick, I noted only 2 Vietnamese restaurants along the entire drive. I originally planned to make a stop for an afternoon coffee/snack break but they close for a few hours from 230-430.
I was very happy we were able to eat here for dinner on our way back to Moncton.
The interior is unique and welcoming and certainly different than what you would normally expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. It wouldn’t be too out of place as a cafe back in Vietnam.
This cafe/restaurant has an extensive menu for drinks and refreshments. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offer Vietnamese coffee varieties as the Salted and Egg kinds. If you like strong Vietnamese coffee I recommend you give them a try. They have bubble tea and special lattes.
On to the food: I ordered the rice and grilled pork and it was very satisfying. The meat was cooked just right and very flavourful. The spring rolls were also delightful - came out hot and crispy.
I would not hesitate to stop here again when I’m travelling through these parts of Canada. If you’re local, then you have a gem of a restaurant, please support them.

If you haven’t been to LOVUS coffee & tea yet, you’ve got to check it out. The place has such a chill vibe-really nice decor and a cozy atmosphere. They have a great variety of Vietnamese coffee, and if you’re into strong coffee with a sweet twist, you have to try their milk coffee or egg coffee. So good.😜
The pho broth is super rich and flavorful, and their beef stew with the tomato-based soup tastes really fresh-comforting and delicious. It’s honestly just a great spot to hang out, catch up with friends, and enjoy some real, tasty Vietnamese food.
Plus, there’s off-street parking, and they even have books you can flip through while you’re there. Definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic authentic Vietnamese food. The fried spring rolls were the highlight. We ordered pork chops, pho, and the soy vermicelli bowl with extra veggies. Knocked it out of the park. Definitely recommend it for people driving through Truro as a healthy meal option!

It's standing food every time I've been there. It has never been busy. It makes me wonder if it's just overlooked.
