We went for our first visit and loved this little place. The portions were hearty and the food was truly made fresh to order. We even watched our fish and chicken get battered and breaded. For a busy morning with one server and one cook they were very prompt, upbeat, and friendly. Definitely recommended!
Gluten free that's so good you'd swear it's normal food!
Edit: currently in London and the fish and chips at Mary & Larry's are actually better đ€Ł
It did not say call to call for accurate pickup time as seen in photo. Said ready in 30-40 minutes.
Our experience happened last year. Thought weâd try it out since weâve heard such good things and it was on the way home from a day out. So I placed an online order to pick up on the way home with my 4 kids. It said ready in 30-40 minutes so I timed my drive home to be there by then. It took over an hour waiting for the food. There was barely anyone eating inside so it wasnât busy and I placed my order before 5. Waiting in the van with hungry kiddos wasnât pleasant and there was no offer of âsorry for the waitâ âŠfood was good enough I guess, but for something that is expensive and having to wait so long for, I doubt weâll be going back unfortunately. Itâs just too long to wait with kids. Idk, what I would of done if we were eating in with them with that long of a wait đ
Understandable about there being one cook on break. Just sharing how our first time experience went and how that kind of wait doesnât work for our family so we wouldnât be choosing to come again, thanks!
Food is always worth the wait 5 stars
Larry and Mary have one of the best burgers we have had in a long while, however cannot give them a good rate on onion rings, hardly any onion mostly batter and extremely greasy, will not be reordering especially when they charged $3 for about 7 onion rings. As well their homemade fries have problem getting consistency. Some cooked properly others still soft. This time they forgot the coleslaw, all in all we enjoyed our hamburger and would return for another, as for the sides so far no.
Wow! Had the fish & chips today! Huge piece of fish with home cut fries. Coleslaw to die for & yummy tarter sauce. Definitely worth the trip.đ
I was really impressed with this establishment and the fact that it was celiac friendly, especially for fast food. I had a delicious chicken club wrap and fries. The portion size was huge, it tasted great, and it was reasonably priced. The cook and waitress were very friendly. My friend and I went around lunchtime and it was busy, though I'm not surprised. đ I will definitely be back here next time I'm in Truro!!
Amazing food! Wife is celiac and we stumbled upon this restaurant. It will be a regular visit for us going forward.
Best fish and chips ever! We upgraded to the potatoes skin and they were amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant
The attention to detail and care for celiacs is top notch. Delicious poutine, promptly served by friendly staff. Going to be a regular spot for us from now on!

I have celiac and was thrilled to learn about this place. My husband (not celiac) and I went today and by far it was the best fish and chips we've ever had. The tartar sauce was fantastic too! Often fish and chips is so greasy that you feel yucky afterwards but not this. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
A real gem! Happy server and cook. Good food, option for smaller size portions.
Near 100% glute free menu, the gluten free fish and chips is awesome!
Amazing food and the waitress was just awesome!!! And the diner is really clean!! Will definitely be coming back in the near future
The best fish and chips! With gluten free alternatives âșïž.
Friendly and personable staff! We will be back many times!
