So nice to have a full gluten free menu! Food was amazing and well-priced! I’ll be back
The food was what it’s supposed to be. When you want a burger or poutine to just be a burger and poutine then this is the place. Really good food, huge portions and friendly staff. The definition of what “Diner” food is supposed to be. Will definitely be back.

Hands down by far the best gluten free fish and chips on the east coast.
Cost effective, large portions and not only that, all of their food is gluten free and you would never ever know the difference!
This is by far our favorite place to eat when we’re going to Truro or driving through to visit Halifax!

Very unique and delicious diner experience. Best diner food for the price, especially given that everything is or can be made gluten free. My celiac dinner mate has never tasted the glory that is fried pickles and now he knows! The fish was fresh and tasty. Delightful poutine. We hope to return for more!

from the outside it doesn't look like much, but the inside was clean, staff was friendly and food is safe for celiac, everything is made gluten free but you can may add gluten to your dish if preferred with buns or bread. We went with the Fish N Chips and it was amazing by far the best i've ever had, and they are Ginormous around 4"x8" pieces. The carrot cake is also probably the best i've ever tried!! Usually we get bloated and tired from eating beige foods, but we did not notice any of this while eating here! it was well worth the 2 hour drive for the food!
Quick & Delicious! Clean & comfortable
We went for our first visit and loved this little place. The portions were hearty and the food was truly made fresh to order. We even watched our fish and chicken get battered and breaded. For a busy morning with one server and one cook they were very prompt, upbeat, and friendly. Definitely recommended!
I've been meaning to try Mary & Larry's for more than a year, so tonight was the night! I had 4 PC chicken strips and fries and my buddy had a 1 piece English fish and chips. In 1 word, "OUTSTANDING!" My meal was so big that I only ate half and I'm stuffed! I get to have the rest tomorrow. The 3 staff members I saw and talked with with super nice. We WILL return soon! 5 stars out of 5!

Gluten free that's so good you'd swear it's normal food!
Edit: currently in London and the fish and chips at Mary & Larry's are actually better 🤣
It did not say call to call for accurate pickup time as seen in photo. Said ready in 30-40 minutes.
Our experience happened last year. Thought we’d try it out since we’ve heard such good things and it was on the way home from a day out. So I placed an online order to pick up on the way home with my 4 kids. It said ready in 30-40 minutes so I timed my drive home to be there by then. It took over an hour waiting for the food. There was barely anyone eating inside so it wasn’t busy and I placed my order before 5. Waiting in the van with hungry kiddos wasn’t pleasant and there was no offer of “sorry for the wait” …food was good enough I guess, but for something that is expensive and having to wait so long for, I doubt we’ll be going back unfortunately. It’s just too long to wait with kids. Idk, what I would of done if we were eating in with them with that long of a wait 🙃
Understandable about there being one cook on break. Just sharing how our first time experience went and how that kind of wait doesn’t work for our family so we wouldn’t be choosing to come again, thanks!
Food is always worth the wait 5 stars
Larry and Mary have one of the best burgers we have had in a long while, however cannot give them a good rate on onion rings, hardly any onion mostly batter and extremely greasy, will not be reordering especially when they charged $3 for about 7 onion rings. As well their homemade fries have problem getting consistency. Some cooked properly others still soft. This time they forgot the coleslaw, all in all we enjoyed our hamburger and would return for another, as for the sides so far no.
Wow! Had the fish & chips today! Huge piece of fish with home cut fries. Coleslaw to die for & yummy tarter sauce. Definitely worth the trip.😊
