I read all the previous reviews and I find some of them hard to believe. First off the Seafood chowder was outstanding and Connie my server was amazing !I highly recommend this restaurant / Lounge with out a doubt !

The hours listed are a complete fiction. If the open sign is lit, it's open. Otherwise, don't even bother.I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here. Wish they were open more.

The Seafood chowder was the best part of our meal but was lacking in Seafood. The thick consistency was appreciated but it had no Seafood flavour except for the few shrimp.I have found better fish and chips in the frozen section of my supermarket. The very small piece of haddock was over-cooked, I assumed necessarily in order to completely cook the thick batter. Seriously, I have purchased much better fish and chips from Costco.

It's horrible for service. No one came to seat us. Not a soul around. Waited 15 mins before we saw someone to flag them down. When theybdid see us, they just stared at us instead of asking if we have been helped. If you desire a nice atmosphere with a good meal, don't come here. It's questionable if you would even get a meal. I must admit though, if you have the patience to wait, the food is excellent.

We recently stopped for dinner here. The staff and service were wonderful. The meal consisting , spinach dip, seafood chowder and a turkey meal. All were prepared well, though I did find the chowder tasty, but a bit to much salt for my taste. When we choose dessert, this is where we had some difficulty. We ordered a piece of cheese cake (chocolate ) and a serving of bread and butter pudding with a berry sauce. Th cheese cake arrived well presented and tasted very chocolatey. The pudding first arrived dressed in chocolate, no berries , so we sent it back. It then again arrived still the same with 3 strawberry pieces added. We again returned it , asked for the menu and then pointed out the description to our server. I then ate the cheese cake as we waited for my wife's dessert arrived a third time . It was more of a sponge cake, with a scope of ice cream with strawberry drizzle and the same 3 pieces of strawberries. (Chocolate was still on them) She had a few bites, it was dry and not what she had expected. Other than that hiccup ,it was a great meal. Kudos to the young lady with the tat's on her service and trying to make things right. We did pay full price for everything. Also we sat, bar side .

Excellent food and service. Hotel restaurants (attached) aren't usually packed with locals, this one is. Great prices for great food and service that keeps the locals coming in. Highly recommend ??

Best seafood chowder I've had in Nova Scotia! Shrimp, scallops, mussels...creamy, rich, and so flavourful!Add to that the one half-price wine for staying at the attached Best Western and I was a happy camper! (Even though my camping trip was canceled and I had to stay at a hotel instead!

We went there today for breakfast.. April 30th... It was the worst meal that I ever had.. the omelet for $16.00 wow I was lucky if it was one egg, cold dry toast and maybe 6 potato's all so cold.. I will never eat there again or remand this place to anyone... total for my husband and I for two omelet was $52.00. What a waste of hard earned money.. NEVER AGAIN... Truro Nova Scotia... not N.B.

Exceptional service. Made me a custom cocktail while I waited for my meal which was incredibly delicious. Also gave me a bunch of napkins and more dressing when I spilled my salad dressing on an innocent french man and all his bags in the hotel lobby. ?
