Really nice staff but we all felt that the food was not "authentic" Indian at all (including friends from India). It seemed like sauces were from a jar, etc. We didn't finish what we ordered. Hopefully they will improve with time as the folks working in there were very kind and nice to chat with as we waited for our order. 2.5 stars for food, five stars for the service/staff. Amazing! The food was incredible! We had the samosa channa chaat, butter chicken, and sambar, with rice, naan, and mango lassi. Everything was delicious and each dish was uniquely flavoured so we shared with each other. The mango lassi was so creamy and refreshing, balancing the spice from the food. I found that the portion sizes were generous for the price and we both had left overs we boxed up to take home. I've been hurting for Indian food in Truro since we've moved from Cole Harbour, so I'm glad The India Hut re-opened their doors. I tried their butter chicken and beef vindaloo lunch specials - incredibly tasty! I was accidentally overcharged and the gentleman working called me up and rectified the overcharge right away. Top notch!
