I was just there this evening for a meal and ordered a maple chicken and bacon poutine. What I got was a bowl of gravy with disgustingly soggy fries. Horrible food is the best way I could describe this. I can't say all the big stops have bad food, because that would be a false statement, however the Truro big stop is officially off my list.

We travel Saint John to Halifax often and usually stop here for lunch or supper. Food has always been good and service is excellent. On a side note, for some reason Google maps shows your restaurant on the wrong side of the 4 lane highway. It has been that way for years.

Irving is a bunch of cons they take customers money and don't give it back. They should be ashamed of themselves. I asked for lucky mobile prepaid card and was given bell I tried to exchange for the one I asked for and was told to bad to sad ? that it was my fault and that I asked for bell when I did not I have had lucky for years why now would ask for bell. Call me a lair. Very poor treatment from this store. I was a loyal customer. Something needs to change. This happened 2 weeks before Christmas they sealed my $75 plus tax. I didn't have much for Christmas and now I have even less as I had to take money from my sons Christmas as I need the phone for work. Ashame on Irving for steal for the less fortunate shame on them. And I will be called corporate and filing a complaint about the careless employees and management, supervisor.

I want to recognize a waiter that works at the Irving Bigstop in Truro. His name is Dylan that is all we knew but sometimes when we go there he is our waiter and he is the best waiter we have ever seen. He deserves recognition on how quick, attentive an friendly he is, I hope his boss sees this recognition review because he deserves a considerable raise or promotion. We were sat right beside the server station; the servers were yelling across the place at each other. I got the shrimp stir fry; the plate was full of Mr.Bens yellow rice, a quarter cup of heated veggies, deep fried shrimp with the tails still on and teriyaki sauce doused all over it. I complain about it because not 3 days ago we were at a different big stop and I had the same meal that was completely different and it tasted amazing(made with different ingredients). My husbands meal was a cheese steak sandwich and so not worth the price. Way to expensive for the food prepared for us…

I ordered the Double Bacon Burger with fries and coleslaw. Mom ordered the Turkey Dinner. Delicious food! A little pricey but worth it. Waitress was nice, but busy. Food came quickly!
