Nice service and very nice people, but the food is mid tier at best. Noodles were bland, not egg noodles or udon, but this weird type of semi firm noodle, almost like glass noodles. The lack of MSG, or any salt for that matter leaves much taste to be desired. Egg rolls are from Wong Wing, or at least taste exactly like the frozen Wong Wing brand ones. Sesame chicken is just SWEET. Like extremely sweet and syrupy with no real umami flavour. The batter for the sesame chicken is a tempura batter like you'd find on Soo Guy or Fish and Chips, rather than a karaage style batter which was a bit of a letdown. The bourbon chicken is surprisingly phenomenal however. Good flavour profile, surprisingly great texture and was nicely trimmed with no fat or gristle. Not bad overall, but not great and not worth waiting in line for 15 minutes for. Shame, as they're very nice people with great service!

Was in Truro on a trip from Ontario and stopped by this place for takeout, based upon other reviews. Food was great - the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The bourbon chicken was really good. Good price for the portion given. This place is inside the mall in a mini food court, so park at the back and walk in.

For the cost and service, it is unmatched. I came in around 1pm and was greeted with multiple samples and a friendly older gentleman. The other reviews talk of why it’s been here for so long and I cannot help but agree and hope they continue to prosper here
I've eaten here more times than probably anywhere else in NS. They've been here forever, with good reason.
The staff is super kind and the food is great.
Delicious, inexpensive, big portions.
Highly recommended.
Friendly guy, decent portions for the price. When we pass or go to Truro, we always try to stop in and get the food. Really good.
Absolutely the best Chinese food in Truro!! Both with quality of food and quantity, you can't beat the price of their specials. My family still rather wait in line for them then go anywhere else for Chinese.
One of the best Chinese food stops in the area, there's a reason it's always lined up!
Huge portions of great food, and fair prices for the amount of food and the quality which never disappoints.
So good! Tasty food, appreciative staff who load up the dishes and are always so polite. Value for money is fantastic!
Kid-friendliness: Kids meal is a good price and portion.

Restaurantji Recommends
The food is good and cheap; a Chinese classic. However, if you're concerned about the environmental crisis (tons of waste in landfills, climate change because of fossil fuels, etc.), this 'take over' restaurant will increase your ecological footprint a lot. It's your decision: cheap today and extremely expensive tomorrow, or choose another restaurant that cares more about the future of the planet.
