Whenever we go to the beach, we stop at Maya's fish and chips after. We love the simple menu, the service is efficient and the food is really good. We are always looking forward to going again.
There is a simple bike trail near when waiting for your order that helps with time.
Otherwise, enjoy.

Stopped in to Maya’s Favorite Fish and Chips for a quick bite to eat after visiting The Ovens.
The fish was extremely good, fluffy and thick pieces of fish, with a very good batter that gives a good crispiness.
The fries were delicious as well ?
Very great spot to stop for a bite to eat, it’s the best fish and chips I’ve had in a while!

First of all, there is a Maya and she works there. ?? Good to see a young person work so hard and create an amazing business
We went there first a quick lunch. The staff were friendly and took our order which was, medium fish and onion rings and the scallops with fries. The scallops were fresh and tasted great (wow). The fish and chips were also excellent. Loved the onion rings as well The haddock was perfectly done.

Always delicious food! I've had the scallops, the clams, fish and chips, and the lobster rolls and am always pleased with the quality and quantity.

Scallops and fries were fresh and cooked well. The wait time was almost an hour and other orders placed after ours were ready much before. Not sure if they forgot about our order or not but that was frustrating. We will give them another try based on the quality of the meal.

My partner and I stopped by on our way back to our AIRBNB.
We got the fried scallops with fries and lobster rolls with fries.
I wish the scallops could have come with the option of being grilled, but was still good fried.
Lobster roll, was good. It was my 2nd time ever having a lobster roll. So not real expert on lobster rolls.
We are going back to order fish and chips for lunch tomorrow.
I'm surprised at the prices of the food, I was thinking it would be just a little cheaper.
Our bill was $58. For 2 combos.

We ordered a family pack fish and chips.
Positives: The fish seemed to be fresh, but slightly overcooked. Batter was nice and thin.
Negatives: for nearly $70 we only received enough fries for two people. We were also disappointed to find there was no tartar sauce provided even though we were told it would be.
While the fish was decent, this was overall poor value for money and there are better options nearby!

The quality of their fish and chips is satisfactory, but not the best I have experienced. On two occasions, I did not receive tartar sauce with my order, which was disappointing as it is typically a standard accompaniment in the industry. Alleviates customers returning to request it as most want tartare sauce.
Additionally, it should be noted that this establishment only accepts cash payments. While this is not a major issue, it would be helpful for customers if a sign indicating this policy was displayed prominently. I had suggested this to the staff during a previous visit, but unfortunately, no sign was present during my most recent visit. In my experience working at cash-only establishments, a clearly visible sign can prevent any surprises or confusion at the time of payment.
