I can't say enough good about this small business, or the folks who operate it. The place is tiny, but it somehow manages to not only present a great variety of baked goods and take-out items from the grill (including many truely gluten-free items), but also an assortment of precooked meals, such as cabbage rolls, meatloaf, and shepherd's pie -- they even offer deals on fresh vegetables and meat! The service is take-out only, and there are about three steps to get down on the inside, but there is lots of parking and an area of picnic tables nestled cozily beside lovely Whynacht's Cove, where, during the summer you can even enjoy karaoke while you eat! If you talk to the locals, they will tell you, with great pride, stories of how the entire family has made giving back to the community a priority. White Sails may be small in size, but it's big in heart (and taste!).

Gluten free turkey sandwich was one of my favorite things i have ever eaten! The Chilli mayo was delicious. If you're Gluten free, definitely try it.

Wow! Their sandwiches are excellent and the bakery goods are delicious. They make the very best oatcakes! We brought several bags of them to friends in the States.

This is the best little bakery! We stopped on a trip through Nova Scotia and it was absolutely worth it! The smoked meat poutine was incredible! Every baked good looked and smelled delicious and we loved all the fresh farm goods offered. Everything was reasonably priced. We would absolutely go here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through!

As a celiac, to be able to get a GF Rueben Sandwich, take it outside to a picnic table, and watch the tide come in... heaven.

We went because my mother is celiac and she really wanted french fries and they have a dedicated fryer, the fries were delicious. I had a medium poutine and it was huge and delicious.

I really should have posted this review a long time ago. White sails has been a mainstay for us anytime we are out for a drive. If you are travelling anywhere near Peggy’s Cove you should be stopping here. It’s a family run local business with a great selection of great tasting , perfectly prepared food. The owners and staff are always so friendly and courteous and they really give back to the community in so many ways. They have a great selection of bakery items and an awesome selection of gluten free items both hot and bakery related. It is honestly a go to place for us and when we want to treat anyone travelling from out of province.

Had the greasiest poorly cooked grilled cheese sandwich which I could not eat. I Wanted chowder as It is Nova Scotia and a tourist area but it was frozen and too much work to prepare but you can have Tai chicken???
Barely a bakery and certainly not a “deli”
Prices are high for poor food
Nice outdoor table area.

We went to try the gourmet GF cookies I had seen advertised on social media but decided to order lunch there also, after a wonderful chat with a staff member. What arrived for our lunch was not only excellent in taste but the first actual GF Club House sandwich I have had in NS in 20 years. While most places serve a GF bun with fixings, this was a double layered treat, fresh GF bread toasted in a dedicated toaster. I opted for a side of home fries also and could not eat even half what was served. (Cookies were yummy, too) The only down side ( and its really nothing) is that there is no indoor space to eat - we enjoyed the picnic tables by the lake on the sunny day we went but having driven an hour, I will be discouraged from making the trip when it is too cold to sit outside.
