While my wife and I were staying in the Tatamagouche area of Nova Scotia recently for my Mother’s 90th Birthday, we ventured in to the amazing little town of Wallace NS where we had a Birthday Dinner reservation set up at Wiley’s by the Wharf. What a wonderful experience for all of us.
My wife and I, who are huge seafood lovers, truly can say that our dinner was among the best we have ever had. And we have travelled extensively.
Sometimes these little diamonds in the rough can truly astonish you. Members of my family who had eaten here previously had recommended this location to us, and we all decided to go.
I can’t say enough about the food and the service at this wonderful scenic little restaurant. The Staff went over the top for my mother‘s 90th birthday by setting up some birthday banners and decorations and made her feel so special.
We loved every moment of it and would like to thank everyone for an amazing experience ❤️ ❤️

A Nova Scotian gem. We will drive 2hrs from Halifax just to eat and drink here again. The staff, food, music, and ownership at all 10/10.

So refreshing to dine at a restaurant where they take pride in what they serve. Everything we had here was absolutely delicious and the service was great. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating.
The seared halibut with risotto was excellent and so well prepared it nearly brought me to tears 😭. We were staying in the area and were able to enjoy a couple meals here. I can attest that the fish&crab cakes, butter chicken, and the Wiley's burger were also delicious.

I ordered the tenderloin surf and turf. The hunk of beef didn’t look like a steak, didn’t taste like a steak and was extremely tough. I left over 1/2 on the plate. I suspect, having eaten tenderloin for many years, and in the habit of purchasing and cooking 6-8 full tenderloins per year, that what I was served was definitely not tenderloin. By its appearance alone, it should not have been served. Looked like a big piece of stew meat. Our dinner guests were regulars, so didn’t want to make a fuss. My fourth trip to Wiley’s, my first bad experience, but not sure I’ll return. Jury is out.

Not recommended for vegetarians. Cheif not sure how to cook a black bean burger, served it raw like jelly.

Visiting from NE Ohio and staying at Amherst Shore Provincial Park. Staying low key today before starting to head towards home. Decided to visit Pugwash for somewhere to go for a short trip. After there we drove a little farther down the road for a bit. We were looking for somewhere to eat and were heading to Tatamagouche. Looked at Google and saw really good reviews so we turned around. Luckily we were there early, arrived around 4pm. They had reservations from 5:30 onward and were pretty booked up. At 4 we had the place to ourselves.
I had the seafood chowder and the crab and haddock cakes. Being in Ohio good seafood is hard to come by but both the cakes and chowder were excellent. He had oysters, chowder and salad. He really liked everything. He had really been wanting oysters and was almost ready to get a second order. Of course we had to get dessert. He said his cheesecake was real good. The chocolate fudge cake was not overly sweet which was good, I thought maybe a little dry, but overall I really liked it.
The owner and the young man that helped us were very nice. I’m glad we stopped in. Would definitely recommend.

One of the best meal we had after two years in Canada
Fresh/ local produces
Actual cooking with tasty dishes where you actually have loads of options rather than something deep fried or a burger
Add a perfect service to that and that place becomes a must see

If you are ever in, or driving through, Wallace check this place out.
We witnessed a fantastic birthday celebration and the staff really took it to the next level!
My son has the kids nachos and cheese and they were the best I have ever seen for a child. They didn’t hold back on the cheese! Fantastic
Great food and right by a neat wharf you can check out before or after.

Genuine good people doing genuine good food. Love the atmosphere and the service. Food was excellent. Drinks and desserts and staff too. Highly recommend!
Don’t let the outside deceive you. Food and drinks were delicious. Amazing menu, small but well thought out. Great staff and really quaint atmosphere.

Such an amazing experience. Staff were amazing. Stephanie went out of her way to make my birthday special on a whim. Cannot recommend this place enough. Food was 11/10, service 15/10 and environment was 10/10. Who would have thought that there was such a wonderful gem in Walllace. Was a “Wiley” amazing experience.
