Looked delicious. Didn't stop.

We stopped for an impromptu ice cream after our highway route back to the city got detoured. The ice cream was so generously scooped and the baked goods called to me from the bakery side. The cinnamon buns with icing made my mouth water and the Reece’s pieces pb cookies will be a repeat purchase.

Kid-friendliness: They spoke to both kids about their ice cream choices and offered ample napkins to meet the needs of the generous ice cream portions.

My son refused to go home tonight and wanted to go for a drive. I ended up at Wellington Bakery which I have never tried before but it was calling my name. I was first thrown off by the unwelcoming interior and how there was no one there in the bakery. I still looked around and decided to get a half loaf of raisin brown bread which seemed like a good price at $3.50. When I picked up the paper bag, it was still warm which I have never encountered at a bakery before. Even though I couldn't even see what the bread looked like I was already excited to try. I went out to the convenience store to grab an M&M meat shop item and pay, where I was greeted by a cashier who was super friendly and happy. When I got to the parking lot I just had to open the bread. It looked incredible, so my toddler and I dug in. Before we knew it we devoured almost half a loaf of bread because it was soo very good!! It was warm and super fresh, perfect crispiness on the outside but tender and soft on the inside, just like my late Grandmother's. It didn't even need butter, it was perfect on its own. I look forward to going back and trying different breads, sweets and pies. Besides finding a new addiction, I also realized that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This place is awesome! Unfortunately I did not get a picture of the bread before it was devoured, only what was left of it lol

Wellington Bakery is the best place to buy your baking goods. 5 star try them and you will go always go back. I live on the Lucasville Road and I drive to Wellington for my baked goods.
