Overall: 7.5 / 10A unique brown tangy-sweet sauce makes this a must try in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. This is the best pizza joint in the region. The toppings are also unique with a premium pepperoni that offers a smoked and garlic forward taste. The cheese is generous and tasty. The crust holds this back from being better.Crust: 6.5 / 10Medium-thick, with a cracker like consistency. It lacks flavour and can struggle to hold up to the toppings.Sauce: 8 / 10The unique brown sauce is more tangy than spicy, with a hint of sweetness. It is the highlight of the pie and truly showcases the Pictou County style of pizza.Cheese: 7.5 / 10Tasty and very generous amount on each pie. The weight of the cheese and toppings is a bit much for the crust, which flops at the end and can cause the top to slide off.Toppings: 7.5 / 10The local pepperoni is smokey and has a garlic flavour. It's thicker cut and you get a generous amount. It's different than your standard pizza pepperoni profile in terms of taste and texture, as it doesn't char due to the thickness, but it's a very nice surprise in terms of flavour.Very friendly and efficient service, with good food pricing and cold beers on tap.

Ordered a large combo pizza and med garlic fingers with bacon. Did well on the delivery time but quality of food was poor . Garlic fingers had dried out hard crumbled crust very little flavour. Also didn’t receive any sauce for dipping with them . And pizza was “ok” but was very greasy. Scott’s pizza was closed today, so thought I’d give Acropole Westville a try….Ya never again .

If you are planning a trip to Nova Scotia, you need to try their pizza/pizza sauce (brown sauce rather than the standard tomato sauce of other provinces/states. The sauce is so popular in Pictou County that it is also sold by the jar in local grocery stores!

BEST PIZZA ON PLANET EARTH!!!I spent the past 17 years in Calgary, Alberta and have not once had a slice of pizza one hundredth as good as Acropole. (not joking)I call you guys my "new grocery store" now because I eat here 7 days a week!Amazing staff and amazing pizza!No words to describe how much missed this place.Thank you Acropole, you guys ROCK!!!!
