Not super impressed with my dining experience tonight at Rudders. Waitress lacked knowledge of what was available on the menu. Figured we would treat ourselves to some oysters. They came out on a small appetizer sized plate, looked like they were thrown in there, that I can get over, but if you are going to charge me $3.50 for an oyster, please serve it on some ice make it seem like whoever is working in the kitchen cares about their job. No one likes warm raw seafood. 🤢

We both had the Hot Lobster Roll with vegetables. They're very generous with their lobster, the sauce for the rolls is of course fantastic and what I really found tasty was the vegetables... Turnip, carrot, broccoli... And something else I don't remember.

We are from Vancouver Island and stopped in. The owner was the best host showing us the place and some history. We enjoyed the whole experience.

Fantastic meal in a beautiful location. Tom was the friendliest server of all time.

Food was excellent. Beer was very good. Staff was very kind, including helping my disabled husband.

We had dinner here for our Anniversary and although we had an issue with one of the meals, the manager contacted me and supplied us with a gift card to come back. The rest of the food was very good, and the service top notch. Atmosphere was very cool. Will definitely go back to give them another chance as I’m sure it was an anomaly. Will post again after we visit again.

Great restaurant. The smell of garlic in butter in the air when you walk on is intoxicating! Everything was great and the fish was so fresh. Waitstaff was awesome, too. Nice waterfront view.

Somebody needs to revoke their seafood licence. The haddock was awful. The clams were tiny and overcooked and they use frozen crispy fries. Very disappointed. Being a seafood town I expected much better. A pizza shop can put this place to shame 👎👎👎

Just got off the ferry? Turn left, down the road is rudders. Relaxed, comfy, hot food, cold beer. It's a staple of Yarmouth. The chicken wings are on point, and their local brew is affordable at 8$ for 20oz. It's worth a stop in.

The food is great here but the service is terrible. I could see the other server was better but the one we had was not very friendly, or nice. She also did not come to take our order for very long. We had arrived very hungry so this killed the experience for us. She also did not check up to see if we needed anything such as refills for water. Its unfortunate because the food and location are great here.

Great food & atmosphere! Staff is amazing! Beautiful locations!! Great pricing for the amount of food you get!! Will be back next time we visit Nova Scotia!!! Great experience!!!

Server was lovely! Accommodating to celiac. Meal was delicious! Place was busy and nobody seemed overwhelmed. I would come back!

Great restaurant, staff is extremely friendly. Food was good, fair value. Beers were cold and great.
