This is the restaurant found in the Mackenzie Hotel in Inuvik. There is a limited menu available and the price is bit on the high end like most of the goods and food in Inuvik.

I had the new york striiloin steak. It was cooked medium well when i asked for medium and it was overseasoned for salt an pepper. Still it was good meat, with good gravy.

The only issue i have with the restaurant is their hours of service. If you are hungry late at night or in the week hours of the morning, good luck getting your fix.

My family and I enjoyed a few meals at Mamaqtuq. Each meal was delicious and nicely presented. The restaurant was very accomodating to kids. Great location, easy to get to and clean interior. Thank you for the hospitality!

Came here for breakfast. The service was great, the food was amazing (breakfast sandwich could be slightly larger at the price point). The coffee was hot! All around a great experience. Thanks for the great start to the morning I couldn't get at Capital Suites.

Were here for breakfast, very nice service. Our breakfast was very tasty. We had to wait a little longer for it, but it didn't bother us that much - after all, we're on holiday.

Td:dr; server didn’t take my GF order seriously, and when corrected served me the same food anyways and caused me to be ill.

I am gluten intolerant and ordered a gluten free steak sandwich - which does have “GF” listed on the menu. When the food came out it had deep fried floured onions on top. I sent it back. He returned a minute or two later, the onions were scrapped off the top. He was surprised I still couldn’t eat it and was offended I’d ask for it to be remade. The server told me he “thought it would be fine since it’s on bread anyways”. I asked if it was gluten free bread, he went to the back and came out with a different sandwich, no fries or side with it and assured me it was a new piece of meat. It clearly wasn’t because I was sick as a dog the whole night afterwards. The picture below is what I ended up paying almost $40 for only the sandwich. Also now that I look at the image, they clearly used the same plate because it has the salt from the fries on it still ??‍♀️

To be clear, I sent a private message to the business Facebook account asking if the manager could contact me - ignoring food allergies at a food establishment is really serious - and was left on read. Super disappointing and dangerous for anyone who has food allergies.

Dietary restrictions: If you have dietary restrictions do not go because depending on who is serving you, it won’t be taken seriously.

Interesting things on the menu, unfortunately they didn't have them available. The facility itself was clean and nicely decorated. Service was good. I felt sorry for the server having to come back repeatedly to tell us things we ordered weren't available.

This hidden gem in the north, staff was polite and the food great. Only had breakfast in the morning's before the shift start. I would it's the best restaurant in town.

I just had the Smash Burger; Incredible. Life-changing! Might sound like hyperbole, but it is not. The best burger I have had since Burger’sPriest in Toronto 6 years ago. Mamaqtuq indeed!! ??

Dietary restrictions: Also they offered a g-free bun or lettuce wrap. Really excellent.

I have a feeling the kitchen is run by 10 year olds. I had a burger with poutine but the burger was sitting in a lake of gravy and looked like it was sitting like that for at least 5 minutes and the fries in the poutine were so soggy it was nasty. One of my coworkers was there at the same time and he said his steak was inedible and he left without eating it. The person I was sitting with got a salad and she was happy with that but that's the only good part of the whole experience. Slow service and bad food.
