Recently drove the Dempster to visit Tuk and decided to treat myself to the first restaurant meal I’d had in almost a month at this place. Delicious food, great location, and the owner couldn’t have been nicer. Highly recommend you stop by and enjoy a meal ocean-side when you visit this special area.

Mostly burgers and chicken fingers and fries. But we were also offered some nice caribou soup and bannock. You buy at the trailer and the food is brought piping hot to the beach house. The food was hot and good after our dip in the ocean. Nice views of the Arctic Ocean. But no fire had been lit to warm the beach house as Grandma had been busy playing bingo! But she was very kind and lovely. Typical northern town prices. There were some local crafts for sale in the beach house too!
May have been eggected by recent flooding. Chevk before you go.

Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food tastes like cheap fast food, the portions are laughably small, and the so-called ‘view’ is nothing compared to dozens of other spots nearby. To make matters worse, the owner was shockingly rude — she literally told us ‘don’t come back.’
They also gave us the impression that card payment was possible, only to refuse it when we tried to pay.
We had just finished the Dempster Highway, taken our photo by the sign, and were genuinely happy to have made it safely — and this place managed to ruin our first experience in Tuk.
We left wondering what on earth we had done wrong. Maybe the crime was showing up at 3 p.m.? Either way, save yourself the disappointment and spend your money somewhere that actually deserves it.

Stopped here for lunch and had the pan fried fish special $25 …. and the piece of fish my husband and I each got was 2” x 2”, basically 4 bites of fish and a big plate of fries…. NOT worth it at all , lovely spot on a beach to eat and look at the water , but you can do that for free …. Skip the lunch !

Had lunch ordered white fish of the day with fries $25. Was no more than 25 grams smallest portion ever but I guess being the only restaurant in tuk you have the monopoly lol stick to burger or chicken burger with fries if you’re hungry otherwise you will need more food!
Atmosphere was very cozy with wood stove heating the eating area with ocean views, glad we checked it out for the experience!
