Excellent coffee! Really enjoyed their Dark roast Americano. Seating is very limited, and no tables. Only counter style seating. The cafe does have a welcoming vibe.We came on a Monday only to find out that they were closed due to staffing issues. So we came on a Tuesday, only to find out that they are Cash only while setting up a new POS.They do have high chairs for babies, but with the limited space, I could see this being an issue during busier times.Hope my review helps, please leave me a ? Cheers ?

Menu: avo toast, breakfast sandwich, ice latte with vanilla syrup, hot Cappuccino, avo toast with egg, ice caramel macchiatoIt's the most delicious in the yellowknife. This is a must-visit coffee cafe(restaurant) if you visit Yellowknife. Not only the coffee but also the avo toast with or without egg was very delicious. Sandwich is also good. This place is very famous for its coffee, and when I tried it, it was really good and you'll be satisfied no matter what type of coffee you order. For reference, it was so delicious that we ate a lot per person.Generally, if you order coffee and a sandwich per person, it costs between $10 and $20.Also, the staff are all very friendly and pleasant.I don't normally write reviews, but I was so satisfied that I couldn't help but write one.

I recently discovered a true gem in Yellowknife - Barren Ground Coffee. Tucked away in a cozy corner of the city, this local coffee cafe quickly became my go-to spot for my daily caffeine fix. Here's why I love it:First and foremost, the coffee is outstanding. As a self-proclaimed coffee connoisseur, I'm always on the hunt for a perfectly brewed cup of joe, and Barren Ground Coffee delivers every time. The beans are freshly roasted in-house, and the baristas clearly take pride in their craft. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water, and the rich, robust flavor is simply divine. The atmosphere at Barren Ground Coffee is equally delightful. The cafe has a warm and welcoming ambiance with rustic decor and comfortable seating, making it the perfect spot to catch up with friends, work on your laptop, or simply enjoy some alone time with your favorite book. The friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the charm of the place, making you feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer. One thing that sets Barren Ground Coffee apart is their commitment to sustainability. They use eco-friendly cups, straws, and utensils, and their emphasis on reducing waste and supporting local suppliers is commendable. It's refreshing to see a local business taking steps to minimize their environmental impact.Another highlight of Barren Ground Coffee is their delicious selection of treats. From freshly baked pastries to scrumptious sandwiches, their menu offers something for everyone. I particularly enjoy their homemade cookies, which are the perfect accompaniment to my coffee. The quality and taste of their food are consistently excellent, and it's evident that they use fresh, high-quality ingredients.Lastly, the location of Barren Ground Coffee is ideal. It's conveniently situated in the heart of Yellowknife, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists alike. Parking is readily available nearby, and the cafe's central location makes it a convenient stop during a busy day of exploring the city.In summary, Barren Ground Coffee is a hidden gem in Yellowknife that I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates great coffee, cozy ambiance, friendly service, and sustainable practices. It's a place where you can relax, indulge in delicious treats, and experience the best of what a local coffee cafe has to offer.
