We had a wonderful stay. Last minute booking. Owner even picked us up. Room was very comfortable. I will be staying here next time I'm in town. The restaurant here is a separate company. Please see my separate review for them.

Cozy little place with nice bed rooms and sitting room looking out at the lake.Small cafe on main floor.( I'm sure the food is fine )Perfect for a one or two night stay.If your staying for work, dont bother as it's to far from anything such as a choice of resturants, stores and places like that. When the cafe is full..so is the parking lot, good luck finding a spot.

Really just PERFECT! We kept saying how we were *so* glad we chose this place over the other options. From the great location (that view! that dock for swimming! that yummy restaurant and bar below!), to the warm and helpful host, to the scrumptious bedding (better than at home?!), to the thoughtful details (power strips everywhere, all sorts of games to play, nicely stocked kitchenware for eating at home) - this really couldn't have been a better place to stay. Can't say enough good things about this place - a perfect spot for enjoying Yellowknife (Old Town and New), and seeing the Aurora (yes - from our living room!).

John is a great host. Greeted both me and my guest and helped us get settled in while being very informative on local foods and sightseeing. Rooms and amenities like fridge, coffee maker and kitchen are clean. Great spot!

We returned here for a 2nd visit recently---now as NWT residents. As always, the bed and breakfast was welcoming and comforting. Different was the chance to meet other fellow northerners as opposed to worldwide tourists, but the same friendly atmosphere and amazing morning breakfasts were available. But it does seem like current COVID restrictions have had their toll on well-meaning bed and breakfasts throughout the NWT. Time to lift the restrictions and at least let fellow Canadians visit again.

I stayed in the northern skies room and was very happy with my stay. The room was clean and had everything you needed. It's on the lower level and being that it's in an older building, there is sound transference but pop in some ear plugs and you're good to go. There is a back door which lets you out on to a rear porch which faces the lake, so if you're lucky, you can see the lights right from your room.
