Very genuinely, from the moment we walked in the building we felt like we were at home. The environment is not only welcoming but the staff go above and beyond to make sure you have anything you need (before you even know you need it). The owner Ed is present and working with the servers which is extremely admirable. He sets a high standard of excellence for both the way servers are to treat the customers and the taking care of those in the restaurant. The food is very good everything was received as ordered and the presentation extremely appetizing. My friend and I will definitely be coming back and will recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a tasty meal and a sense of community. While our time here in Yellowknife was short the positive influence Ed had on both our lives and trip contributed greatly to our fond memories we leaked the YK with. (plus he makes a great drink!)

We were in Canada as a family. Taking part in the northern lights. Experience looking for a place to eat. We came across Coyotes restaurant. The lady that's served us was really nice and very friendly. She was fun to talk to.The food was excellent! My wife ordered the poutine and she was very pleased. And she's very picky about poutine.

There are no words for this hidden gem. Food is amazing, big portions, fair prices, customer service is stellar, and the best part is the owner Edward. His sense of humor, his passion for his establishment and the customer care is nothing like we have ever experienced before. Wish there was a 10+ star review. Thank you Mr. But!

Meal tasted fine. I wouldn't recommend the Donaire egg rolls. They were randomly cooked. Some of it was tough some not enough. The steak sandwich was well cooked and seasoned. Portion seems small but turned out very filling

We came at the tail end of lunch and ordered their special. They got my order wrong (during the staff switch so I don't blame the later shift). My order of pan-fried cod came out looking deep fried like what my friend ordered. I asked them to switch and the staff brought out the exact wrong order but with more brown/almost burn fillets. I brought it up to the waitress' attention, and she just replied she brought out what the kitchen handed to her. Well, I figured since she's been working there she could at least recognize that the order was not correct. She didn't apologize and proceeded to ignore our table until we were ready to pay.The fish fillets tasted like the frozen ones, not fresh at all.The salad was heavily drenched in dressing that was overly sweet.Overall, my friend and I were visiting Yellowknife and made the trek to check out this place and only to be disappointed. For $30CAD I could go somewhere else for better fish and chips.

Good sized portions. They serve the biggest and juiciest rack of ribs in town

I ordered a buffalo steak, was cold and hard to chew, the coffee was cold too, the fish had a lot lemon powder, the waitress with tattoos on her hands and black nails was a little bit rude I needed to order the check from different waitress. One day before I went to Bullock’s Bistro and the food was delicious!!

I had not been to Coyotes in months and never for lunch. I took my wife and probably had one of the best meals. Great food, excellent service and the portions were unbelievable. Great value.

This was a nice spot for a lunch. The Maple Bacon Poutine was killer and the Buffalo burger was tasty too. It's the first I've ever had, so take that with a grain of salt, but I would order it again. Also had a bowl of Chowder with some locally sourced fish, which was also top notch. The service was fast and friendly.. everyone was very attentive. Don't hesitate to stop by here if you are looking for a place to grab a meal.

This place is so good that we were in Yellowknife for four nights, and we ate here 3 nights. The service is incredible, and the staff and the owner are extremely friendly and helpful. The donair poutine and the prime rib are a must when visiting this place. The fries are some of the best I ever had. If you are visiting Yellowknife, make sure to come here, and if you don't know what to order, just ask for recommendations from the owner. Thank you for the great meals and amazing conversations.
