I was in Yellowknife for work, and was looking for something different. Stopped by Elke's and had a excellent meal. Schnitzel and fries were great and the sauce was delicious.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I placed an online order which they accepted, and I showed up only to find out the restaurant is closed for the day. Now my card has been charged and their provided phone number is disconnected.

Ordered online on April 2. Payment went through. Follow the instructions to pickup in 15 minutes. Walked to the restaurant, but it was closed. The phone number listed is not in service. The last thing you need when in such a cold place. Hopefully, I can have my money back.

What a lovely gem of a restaurant. The food was astounding. We had pan fried whitefish, fries, and a German Pork Schnitzel. Plus some yummy adult beverages. The fish was delicious, cooked with a light breading that was to die for. Yum!

Food was great, the restaurant concept is unique as you order and pay via your smart phone. The staff bring your food to the table, but you are responsible for busing the table. Salad dressing was delicious!
Visited on saturday 12pm. As an operating hour I checked with google map, it opens 3pm on saturday, but,,I don't know it is wrong or just they made a meal for us 😅
Anyway, it was quite good experience. Food was delicious, proper portion. Staff wasn't so kind, friendly but I think she is just introvert, she wans't so unkind as well. Not bad. The only thing I notice to others, ventilation system in the place was not that good. We felt something spicy in eyes, it was pretty uncomfortable to enjoy meal.
Almost everything was self-servied. (but as situation, she served sometimes)

We walked out, it is a fully self-service restaurant which is ok BUT: their little system still wants tips. Am I an idiot??? Self service should require no tip - who am I tipping?? We had no contact or attempt like a smile from the server. I get it it is convenient for them not to have to serve a table, but then do not expect tips!
