The Niven lake blue lagoon is ok. I didn’t ask for the double shot but they ordered it for me. The drink didn’t taste like double shot was added. It’s sweet. The donair bites were good. Maybe they put a bit too much pepper so it’s a bit spicy but in general tastes good. The waitress seemed to just do her job but was not super nice.
Typical pub and it was close to our hotel. I had the fish and it was the best tasting fish in town. Cool place and it was super busy with locals.

We didn't experience any of the issues some reviewers seem to have trouble with. The service was just fine, our waitress was very nice. The food came out quickly and it was delicious.We had the Deep Fried White Fish, which is the special on Fridays. It was nice and flaky and while the Haddock is cheaper and a larger portion, the White Fish is locally sourced and the Haddock is not.We also had The Works Poutine, which was super tasty. I would eat here again without a second thought.However, if the owner happens to read this.. a "Please Seat Yourself" sign might be needed, as we did stand at the front like knobs for a couple minutes waiting to be seated, since we didn't know.

Extremely overpriced. I ordered the fish and chips and it came with one small piece of fish and a handful of fries. I was stunned when it came out; I almost waived the waitress back to ask where the rest of my meal was. And they charged 26 dollars for what was honestly an appetizer. The food was fine and the service wasn't terrible, but at those prices I won't be going back.
