This restaurant is situated a little bit out of the downtown of Yellowknife . The restaurant itself was a bit dark inside. I tried bison dumplings and lake trout with grilled potatoes, the food were quite acceptable. Staffs were okay.
Went there for dinner, very nice interior, top Service, excellent food (the best we had in Yellowknife) and a first class choice of wines. Wednesday bottled wine is half price! Best restaurant in town!
I love Thornton's. Loved. Sadly, like Twin Pines, it's going away leaving few options in the downtown area. Get in there while you can; this week and then curtains. Good luck to the proprietors!
