Was very!! Disappointed. Had the fillet mignon with a crab coating. It was way over cooked and tuff. The potato was not seasoned and some of my vegetables were cold. Would not recommend this establishment. The servers were polite and very nice to interact with.

A great place to unwind, have a nice meal, with great customer service. I arrived close to closing time and was welcomed without feeling like I was an inconvenience nor did I feel rushed to finish my meal and get out. The server was very friendly, made menu recommendations and provided great service. This place is a nice retreat to have a meal

First the good: beautiful dining room with a great view, was seated right away and served promptly. Wine selections included Canadian choices and the portions were generous. Prices were high as expected. Now the struggle: food was mediocre at best (salad was overdressed and served in bowl difficult to eat from, squash risotto had me hunting for tiny bits of squash and was not well seasoned. And at this price point I didn’t expect butter in a little plastic packet). But mostly I was disappointed that so little seemed to reflect local possibilities. Why Wagyu? (The server couldn’t tell me where it was sourced.) Chicken Kiev and lasagne seemed out of place. It’s summer here and I can see local folks growing kale, raspberries, rhubarb, lettuce and other fresh food in their yards—perhaps there is a business opportunity for a local grower to supply restaurants like this one.

The breakfast was decent. Dinner was a different story, everything was slow, the hostess explained to me they were “busy” but the place was only at about 80% capacity. I got the artic char which looked and tasted an awful lot like salmon… I’m no fish expert but just sayin’.

Fish chowder good big bowl. Chicken livers could have used more peri peri sauce. Bison steak very tasty and perfectly cooked. Lasagna tasty, large portion. Risotto not cooked enough, bit gummy and not very creamy. needed more cheese. Corn was not very tasty.

I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant, I was immediately greeted with a nice large fireplace and a beautiful view from the window. I tried the steak sandwich, which was incredibly fillling. The steak was perfectly cooked, had great flavor, and was tender. They also gave a ton of fries with the dish, which was nice. I missed the buffer this last trip but will definitely come back to try it next time. Service was also really good.
