Racist and angry staff. Coat check staff loses coats and gets angry easily. My friend had to go in and grab her jacket because he kept giving her the wrong one and she got in trouble for it?? Another friend had paid for my coat check and the employee angrily demanded payment and I had to remind him that it was already paid. Lots of fuss and bad vibes over one dollar. Another staff member yelled at one of my friends for no reason instead of talking to her? She wasn’t harming anyone. She’s one of the nicest people I know. Very hostile environment and horrible energy.

Some of the best dining in Iqaluit, food prices are fair for the north and service is great. However they love to over cook the fries and having to pay to store your jacket is wack.

I have stayed here multiple times, and multiple times I’ve had sticky pee residue on the bathroom walls which is clearly visible without having to kneel down and look, old fingerprint smudges on the mirrors the last time I was here I had a deluxe room with a couch in it and the couch had a bunch of crumbs on it when we first got there. This time around I don’t have shower water pressure it just trickles out and to ‘fix’ this they gave us a key for another room that we could use to shower and turns out there was already a guest inside that room!!!! Like are you friggin serious????! they didn’t leave any Kcup coffee pods by the keaurig, we ordered from the restaurant downstairs and they didn’t put any napkins, utensils or condiments in the bag which wasn’t discovered until we were back at the room. The only reason I’m even staying here is because It’s at a discounted rate. Definitely not worth $367.50 on a standard room.

I would spend more money here if they didn't change to cash only after 10pm.

Aqsarniit hotel is disgusting! They don’t clean the washrooms, bathtub is full of rings and obviously gross. Whe I walked in, took my boots off and my socks stuck To the floor!!!! Looks so nice but the dirtiest place I’ve ever been! ?

Soggy fries and a small hamburger patty and I was still hungry when I left after spending $40. Service wasn't bad.

Visiting over the Canadian Day long weekend. Hotel was clean and welcoming. Room bright, clean, spacious and comfortable. Had to ask for more towels and there was a lack of soap and coffee in room. Apparently, they were waiting for a shipment. Coffee was available in reception area and they had a small selection of breakfast items available in the foyer whilst restaurant was shut. Would of of been nice to be pre warned of restaurant closures due to the long weekend. We did eat in the bar one night. Unfortunately, the security guards were quite rude and insisted that we pay to put our coats in the coat room. I explained that we were hotel guests and they insisted and were very rude to my son and myself. My husband ended up taking the coats up to our room. The hotel is close to airport.

The amenities and features of the hotel were beautiful, however I realized when I was getting settled that the room wasn’t cleaned well, if at all. There was urine on the toilet seat, the sink handles and ledges hadn’t been cleaned, hair in the shower and on the bedding, and stains on the bedding as well. That being said, the front desk staff were great, as were the servers in the restaurant where the caribou stew was DELICIOUS. Highly recommend trying NU Brew beer as well. I would stay again, but would request an overview of the rooms cleanliness by the housekeeping supervisor or something before hand.

This is the restaurant inside Iqaluit's newest hotel. Decided to give it a shot.Need to go through the hotel to get into the restaurant which is totally fine. They have a bar/lounge side and a dinning room. No surprise though, on the bar side they expect you to coat check. This just seems completely unnecessary. We were all sitting down and they wanted us to pay a coat check of $1 a coat. Took one for the team and paid $7 for my group of seven. There's a raise section with seating, a few smaller tables in the middle along with the bar and the far side has more longer tables with what appears to be a dance floor and a spot for a DJ.We were handed food menus. Decided to just try their poutine while three in my group got the special (prime rib), while others picked the Pull Pork Sandwich, Shrimp Linguine Pasta and the Beef Dip Au Jus.The drink menu was a little laughable as it was on four seperate pieces of paper with writing on it. Guess their menu is constantly changing that they do not have anything proper to give guests just yet. I stuck with water though but a few decided on drinks too. Was a bit of a wait for our server to return to take our orders. Wasn't busy so that wasn't the delay. My poutine was good and I was happy with the size. Everyone else's food looked good and they were happy with their choice.I'd go again but would be curious to know they charge a coat check fee on the dinning room side. Though we had a nice time I wouldn't be racing back to go there again. But the food was good, place was clean and the place was nice to sit and enjoy the company of my friends.

The best food in Iqaluit at an amazing price! Must try the salmon pinwheels and loaded potato skins! The platter for 4 is too good as well. Red ale and lager are my favourites here.
