Food was “ok” nothing special, overpriced but you are in the north. Took way too long getting served. The staff was friendly.

My grandmother with Parkinson’s Disease needed a chair to help her take a breather and take her mask out of her bag while the staff were angry thinking she was drunk. Ableist and racist hotel. Manager was also being fussy over a small gathering, less than 12 people on our last evening of filming. Kicked us out when we weren’t being disruptive and made the excuse that “it’s ridiculous to have more than 12 people in a room” they lack the skills to count.
they stole or gave away my cousins char that was kept in the freezer at the front desk 😐 the bag was still there but the char was taken. they wouldn't show camera footage either.
Good food, good service, and a nice atmosphere.

One of the worst experience on my life. The chef just forgot to make my breakfast after 40 minutes waiting they come to ask me if I already order , I did at the same moment I ask for my orange juice. If that kind of chef leads that kitchen I can't imagine what's behind. What a shame.

The food we had this weekend was amazing. We came both Saturday and Sunday night. The highlights were the seafood bowl, the pork tenderloin, the pesto focaccia and the brownie sundae. Myself and my group were all blown away by how great the food was. The servers we had was also so nice. I’m coming back in the summer and I can’t wait!

I placed an order for a pizza and a chicken fingers and fries. They added 5 orders of chicken fingers and fries. When I told them the order was wrong, they wouldn’t refund me. To add insult to injury, the order wasn’t even good. The pizza was doughy and the chicken was over-fried. Total disappointment.

Mediocre and expensive. Burger was decent but a side caesar salad was drenched in dressing that tasted suspiciously like a Rene's dressing. Brownie was half cooked and cold. I hadn't eaten here in years...prolly will be years before I return.

Restaurantji Recommends
It was ok, my lasagne was reheated which I get. The server was really friendly. It was a hot meal up north so everything is understandable.
I was staying at the Frobisher Inn, so I ate breakfast here one day and had dinner another evening - the breakfast was good and reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend it if you don't want to trek into town to the Blackheart Cafe. Dinner was less successful - service was good, the wine list (can you believe that there are now places in Iqaluit with decent wine options?) was also good as was a starter salad, but the main course was disappointing - a macaroni cheese that was too thin and watery and under-flavored. Maybe not eating meat put me on the back foot here, but I expected better. I was also disappointed that although the online menu shows a veggie burger, that was not on the menu at the restaurant - that's a simple thing to be keeping track of, and even in Iqaluit I'm surprised there weren't better veggie options. Value is decent given the setting in the north - and I would guess that local meat and fish dishes are probably pretty good. Not a fan of the staff tolerating people coming into the restaurant to try and sell "crafts" but maybe that's just me.
Food is good most of the time

Excellent service and very good cuisine. However I find the portions extremely generous which affect the prices. I would have liked a reduction of portions and reduced prices as a
