I found this visit to be one of charm more than pleasure. I visited in January, which is a very low season for them. They only serve burgers and wings and any drink you want with a full bar. They only take cash. The owner is 90 and quite delightful.
Either you like dive bars or you think you like dive bars. We were drawn in by the historic charm and the Serbian folk music reminiscent of my partner’s home region and the two enjoyed speaking their native languages together. The owner was very kind to us. He seemed like he already had a full day at the bar, so the conversation was…interesting. When we left, we were charged for shots we didn’t order and the prices of the beer didn’t match the menu. I wouldn’t miss this...
The coolest old time, historic, pet friendly bar ever. You can get a room, a burger and a beer all within a 50 ft. radius. Awesome owner, great food, clean rooms, and good conversation with drinks. The perfect setting an old school saloon scene in any western or wild west movie.
