Found the place by accident using Google Maps. It was a five minute walk from the Ramada Inn. Food was great and service excellent. I had the beef and mushroom pastie and a beef and potato. Will visit again when I'm in the area

I make it to Elko only once every year or two, but make a point of stopping here every time. Excellent pasties (and even better sauce).
Glad I stopped in here. I had the eat and potatoes pie pastry. Flavor and seasoning was perfect. I need to return again to try some others. And the fruit pies! Counter girl was patient and helpful.

Hand pies are their specialty, both savory (Cornish pasties) and sweet. We tried 2 of the pasties, the beef with mushroom and the chicken and rice. Both were very good, but I felt the beef needed, say, a little thyme and some savory. I'd go there again any time I in Elko. The ambiance for on-site eating isn't impressive, but if that bothers you, take it down the road to the park and have a picnic. The service could have been better, but it was the poor girl's 3rd day of working there and she was trying her best.
Locally owned English Pastie shop. Lots of varieties that can be purchased frozen or freshly cooked. Pasties have great flavor and it's wonderful to know you are supporting a local business with authentic country food from England.
If you are passing through town, definitely get some for your freazer!
