Good coffee and friendly staff.

I stopped in at Cowboy Joe in Elko, Nevada, looking for a simple cup of coffee and walked out wondering why every café doesn’t aim this high. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by more syrups and powders than a general store’s got supplies. Hazelnut, caramel, Irish cream… if you can dream it, they can stir it right into your cup.

It’s like they handed a cowboy the keys to Madison Avenue. Every flavor is crafted with care, every detail speaking of pride and possibility. You don’t just order coffee here; you commission it. The baristas wield flavors like six-shooters, ready to whip up the exact drink you didn’t even know you needed.

If you’re rolling through Elko and think coffee’s just coffee, Cowboy Joe will set you straight. Out here, espresso is an experience, and they’ve got the arsenal to prove it.

Cool local spot that offers the best coffee in a small town that you can stop at. The place itself had some cool old cowboy items and the service was friendly and fast. The coffee itself was exactly what I needed that morning.

As a actual coffee sob, who worked in specialty coffee in Vegas, their cold brew is the best I've had. Hands down. So excited to try some espresso next time I'm in Elko.

It is a good coffee, However, there is absolutely no reason for it to cost over $9 (nine dollars). It is crazy how much money this business wants to make these days.

Love this place. They have great hot chocolate.

Cowboy Joe's Coffee is a gem that embodies the heart and soul of the Wild West, with an aroma of adventure and a brew as bold as the Nevada skies. From the moment you step through the doors, the cozy charm and friendly atmosphere invite you to linger—and trust me, you'll want to.

The coffee is fantastic—each cup brewed to perfection and brimming with rich, robust flavors. My personal favorite is the Grasshopper, which combines mint and mocha in a delightful dance. While I’d love just a tad more mint to lasso the mocha’s strength, it’s still an absolute treat and a testament to their creative offerings.

The true cowboy spirit of this place? That’s found in the incredible barista behind the counter. Their warm smile and impeccable service add a personal touch that makes every visit feel special. It’s bittersweet to hear that they’ll be heading out to West Virginia—Cowboy Joe’s will surely miss their radiant presence. (And so will the rest of Elko!)

Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss a chance to saddle up with a cup of Cowboy Joe’s. Here’s to good coffee and great community!

If you want to see cool coffee stuff this is the place. With some exposed machines and lot of merch its a paradise for coffe lovers. Better than starbucks for sure. The price is ok but when we went they didnt have a lot of food options like breakfast. Its understandable though. Ill go again for a nice coffee for sure.

Excellent espresso roasted on site. Barista also knew what he was doing, quickly made a drink for me that was not on the menu.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Their mocha is excellent. It's actually hard to find a good mocha. I wish I lived closer to this place!

If you appreciate a coffee taste experience made right, a good cup of coffee and decent pastry options, this is the place to go in Elko.
We went to several places for breakfast, and a couple for coffee, and this was by far the best cup of coffee we found, and the barista was friendly offering many options!
Will be back on our next visit.
