Restaurant closes at 10pm was 24hr., no longer a buffet. No guest books in rooms, no blow dryers, channel guide or even pen and paper in rooms. Former Red Lion, big change with new ownership. Room rate was good for a weekend rate (room $99, tax 31 total was 131.10 for a Saturday) . Huge change from last visit. Even service charge to eat in coffee shop WOW HUGE SURPRISE DIDN'T KNOW TIL I PAID. Close to freeway east and west bound

The rooms are past outdated, its an old facility with residual odors. Luckily the room we had allows the window to open for ventilation. AC unit is lacking, the rooms were clean but the bed is way too soft.

door latch on the sliding door to the parking lot was broken, security bar was completely missing. your belongings are not safe in the rooms or in your vehicles. pack light.

On the negative side the hotel needs a complete makeover. Carpet is very old. Toilet seat was so scratched it looked like poop on it. Blankets had holes in them. For the price this is a great place.
I can’t thank Megan enough for saving me during my stay at the Maverick Hotel & Casino in Elko, NV. It was around 3–4 AM when I realized I needed a room, but it was that tricky time of night when check-in isn’t usually possible. Somehow, Megan was able to work her magic and get both myself and my dad into the system so that when we arrived at 9 AM, we were able to check in right away.
Because of her help, I was able to get some much needed rest before my 3-hour online proctored exam later that day. Honestly, she saved not only my trip but also my grade. Her professionalism, resourcefulness, and kindness went above and beyond. Thank you, Megan, you are a lifesaver, sorry it took me so long!

This place is a great place to stay in Elko. I’m always just passing through, and this hotel beats them all when it comes to price. It’s cheap, semi-clean, and family friendly. You get a choice of smoking or non-smoking rooms. The beds are comfy and well stocked. The TV is a 55”, so much bigger than most other hotels. They have LOTS of outlets and USB hubs, which is abnormal and great compared to most hotels. Additionally, it’s important to note that this is NOT a luxury hotel. It’s quite dated and could use an update/remodel soon. This is the hotel perfect for those just passing through or not planning to use the hotel much. It’s simply a place to stop, rest, and move on. It’s super close to the freeway for easy and quick access. It’s not far from most major stores and gas stations in town. You don’t have to venture through town just to get here. The casino is nice and the staff is very friendly. I will be staying here again! You should consider it!

I've been coming here for years with no problems.But today, I have tickets that add up to a hundred and fifty dollars.No, machine will take them so I can't play them they won't cash out at the kiosk, and when I asked an employee, what I could do, they said, wait around till the internet goes back up. There's nothing they can do. So I have a life and can't hang around this building for the rest of the day. And I have to go back to work without eating. Because I have tickets and not any of my money. Don't come to this building today.They will just keep your money until the internet goes back up? Whaa?
