What a great time I had at this little gem of a bar in Ely Nevada. There was a three man band playing live music on one of the saturday nights when I was in there. They were awesome. I got to play some pool games and do a little dancing too. And after a few cocktails I could walk back to my motel avioding any drinking and driving. How nice is the Club Rio in Ely Nv. Real nice.

Waited at bar for at least five minutes to see if anybody was actually working there. Place was empty. Finally an old lady comes shuffling in. Doesn’t say hello, doesn’t acknowledge me. Her phone rings and she answers is and then stands there and talks to the person. I got up and left. Weird vibe. Not friendly at all.

Best place to go in Ely by far ! We were there for one night and clearly it was the best night of our trip ! You’ll really feel in America in all it’s wonders ! Karaoke and incredible ambiance ! Ask for Tovi, if she’s there, your night might take a different turn... Don’t hesitate to go have fun at Rio !

This is a a good old fashion Bar and serves no food. Locals and tourists hang out and have a good time. Juke Box with plenty of selections and a couple pool tables. Like it because it's just a bar, no gambling machines. Cody is one of the nightly bartenders and he is quick and does a great job. Karaoke on most nights, however the person that runs the Karaoke never is on time and unreliable. Cheapest beers in town.

Disappointing Dj "AAron"antics and control issues have sucked the fun out of 3 differentr occasions in my experience at the Rio just in the last few months.. Its very sad that such a fun place could be so held back by just one very mean person that i cannot imagine the owner is even aware of his behavior. the owner, and the bartenders are amazing, funny and friendly, people.. Cody and Crissy boith pervide exceptional service and Keri is one of a kind.however no amount of kickass service could match the experience of being publicaly, and over a mic, none the less, by an extremely judgey and rude karioke DJ "AAron"..(i probably spelled his him wrong, but seems to be a waist of a web search).. its no wonder that the crowd is so small except during tourist season.. Keri being a business woman deserves better representation for her business then that...

It's Old School club, social meeting place, karaoke bar, dance club, etc. it's SO many more things all wrapped up into one "hell of a time ". The bartenders there are "Top Notch" & can do it all: Pro mixologists, unofficial counselors, local real-time information source, super friendly, and plain down to earth party directors. Gotta give major props to Krissie the bartender who I recently met there. She is hands down the "the Total Package" and a real life "Unicorn" (see Crazy Hot Matrix). Not only a great bartender but smart, friendly, sweet, has a great attitude & personality, and works very hard to see that you have the best time ever. Oh, and by the way, she's also "drop dead" gorgeous!Definitely my favorite club in Ely, NV (pronounced: EELEE) and home of the famous "Silver State Classic Challenge" en.m.wikipedia.org. Where they actually close down a 90 mile (140km) stretch of State Route 318 for a authorized time-trial "Cannonball Run " - style race that attracts racers from all over the world! So if you're ever cruising Hwy 50 in east central Nevada travelnevada.com/road-tr…, Ely, NV & Club Rio are a definite destination you have to experience.P.S. Make sure to say "Hi" to Krissie!

Very much a dive bar. No beers on tap, limited tequila selection and the three they had were silver. Quite the smell of smoke in the place, which must be allowed in NV. Recommend The Rack next door.....it a lot nicer.

I was in a band that came from Milwaukee to play there, and we were treated like The Beatles. There wasn’t a single person there that was anything less than wonderful. I live in Chicago and wish I could bring everyone here to open a Club Rio here.
