Food is mediocre. Pan seared steak was sort of burnt and super salty (they offered to make another one, but it was already late and had to leave). Calamari is served with mirinara sauce and super oily. The classic burger, is a patty in between a bun and lettuce, tomato on the side. The drinks were also so so. Quiet atmosphere and very spacious place

I recommend the chicken Alfredo. It was delicious and creamy. Breadstick was nicely made and crunchy. Also had their chocolate cake, very rich. Would have been great some ice cream on the side. I only saw my waitress a couple times and was only able to get a refill once.

The food was good but we would probably not return. The service was poor. I couldn’t even get my water refilled. We wanted dessert but was waiting for our server still annoyed that we didn’t get more water, or at least someone to ask. We finally just paid and went somewhere else for dessert.

It's a bit on the pricey side. They make up for it with heavy portions of great food. Also the service is phenomenal. About the time you're about to ask for a fill on drinks. The server is already on it. The staff is friendly and super attentive

Stayed in Ely Sept 2025 and this is the second time I have eaten at Mr. G's and it was delicious. Staff is great, they offer gluten free pasta (although the extra price is a bit high) and the atmosphere is wonderful. Food is delicious and restaurant is spacious and clean. They did not have much of a wine list in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel; not sure why, but the house wine was fine. Definitely a great place to dine while in Ely!
The food was first rate! The restaurant was busy and short handed when we arrived but the staff hustled graciously and we had a very pleasant experience.
