OMG - this place was just the place we needed to chill and have a great meal. There is parking behind the building. We went in March and it was snowing at the time. Coming in, it was a cozy place with tables and wood booths. Piano music was playing and fit the mood and the scene you could see through the glass doors. We did the mozzarella stick as an appetizer and they were perfectly executed. The marinara was mighty tasty. I had lasagna and my friend had Chicken Visuvio. My lasagna was really good. Maybe not the best I've ever had but it ranks right up there. Tasty. Solid. Meaty but not too meaty. I just felt like it needed more seasoning or salt. The side bread was delicious! My friend's chickn was outstanding. Even I tried it and I'm not a big chicken fan but damn, it was delicious. I would order that! The sauce was perfectly seasoned - not too much butter or lemon - it was just smooth. The dinner salads were your typical salads but the Balsamic Vinagerette was awesome. We loved this place. The service was awesome. It was quaint and a great place to wait out the snow.

I'm spending a few days in Ely and heard Mr. G's is a nice little Italian place to eat. I came in solo, was there a solid 20 minutes and no one came to take a drink or food order. It was not too busy, so I'm not sure what the issue was...but I'm not going to sit another 20 minutes hoping I might order some food. I walked across the street to Denny's for the third night in a row. The service there with Mary has been great all 3 nights.

For a small town late at night this was a pleasant surprise. Food was very good, and ample portions. Great service and nice atmosphere. Would go back again. Would probably split an order though as it was more than we could eat and since we were on the road unable to take a go box.

So much potential, just put up a wall, or at the very least, a door between the noisy, obnoxious, low life, dive bar and nice, quiet, respectable, restaurant already! How many times do you need to hear this?!?

Neat place, l love the plants all around, and cozy ambiance. Really really delicious Italian pizza, ? l recommend trying it even if you ate pizza the night before!! Small entree fresh salad with blue cheese sauce is enough. And tried the chicken carbonara which was good, needed some extra salt.Geneva was our server and we enjoyed having her. Also the fact that you can walk to the hotel Nevada just across the street is so cool. Prices are considerate expensive for locals but you can still share a meal.I will definitely come back to try more. ?

This place should be on both Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares and Bar Rescue. This place has some of the worst service that I have ever had. A while back my family and I went to eat here. It wasn’t busy. There were a few parties dining but not what I’d call a dinner rush. I didn’t catch the waiter’s name because he didn’t introduce himself but he was a larger man with black gloves on. He gave us waters and took our orders. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, salads, and our meals. He brought out our appetizer but not our drinks. We had to go find him and ask for those as he didn’t come back to check on us. We found him just blankly staring out into space. Then after about 45 minutes we had to find him AGAIN, to ask for our salads (he forgot 2 of them by the way.) Again, starring off into space. Right after we got our salads, he brought out our food, which was cold. I ordered an overpriced bland steak. He didn’t offer to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything, he just disappeared. After this less than mediocre meal was finished we had to go find him for our check. Once again he was just standing there starring blankly into space.A few weeks later we decided to give it another try. The busser greeted us and sat us promptly and gave us waters. I saw the man with the gloves again and guess what he was doing? Our server ended up being a younger man with a mohawk who looked like he hadn’t slept for days. There were five parties dining that night. I looked at the table beside me and noticed that they were waiting to order and looked they had been waiting a while judging by the scowls on their faces. We then proceeded to stare at our menus for another 30 minutes while mohawk guy ran around and gloves guy stared at nothing with his mouth open. Seeing that the table before us was still waiting to order, we left. Not going back there again.

Food was hot garbage. Half the ribeye was inedible—my steak looked exactly like the picture someone else posted below. So much fat and gristle I almost told them I didn’t want to pay for it. Calamari was terrible and over fried. For $13 we only got about 8 pieces, but I suppose that is a mercy since it was so terrible. Completely overpriced and inedible, they’re lucky we were starving. The only people leaving this place decent reviews are either fake or have never lived somewhere with good food. Sad. AVOID!!!

We had the calamari appetizer, and it was ok. The calamari was very chewy, and the breading was very thick. We also both had the pan fried new York steak, and it was pretty good. It was a little undercooked from how we both ordered, but it had good flavor.

Ely is an interesting little town, limited options but enough to satisfy. We decided to try out this little Italian tonight on the Main Street. The ambiance and vibe was great with a modern Italian feel and nice decor! We were immediately sat at a side booth type table and brought waters and menus. I ordered the Angel Hair Primavera with no mushrooms and Dave tried ordering an 8oz sirloin but the waiter said they were out of steaks so he decided on the lasagna. Before the entrees arrived, we received starter salads which was nice! Food came out in reasonable time.Dave liked his lasagna (that came with a little piece of garlic bread)I was not a fan of my pasta. It looked really good upon arrival but the flavor was pretty gross to me. It came with a lemon wedge, which I did not squeeze because it just wouldn't have tasted right.... The flavor is hard to describe, kind of like lemon and the smell of dirty feet/socks! I tried eating what I could but could not even eat half - the garlic bread was really good though. I would recommend this place, but DO NOT order the pasta dish I did!

The food was really good we're just passing through town for the night and stoped in only thing that could have been better was the service by our waiter asked for a Roy Rodger's but never was brought to the table he was more focused on his phone and the bus boy was doing the waiters job for him instead so props to him other than that very nice play will be back

Great little spot for a Sunday evening dinner as we were passing through town. Service was great and food was delicious. Kids enjoyed cheese pizzas. The chicken Marsala was tasty and my husband enjoyed the ribeye. We'll definitely come back next time we're in town.
