I think the people who left the latest reviews with 1 stars must have lost their taste buds at some point before coming here. The food is way better now than with the last owners. It's also cleaner now and the staff is much more friendly and helpful. The family who owns it is wonderful as is the food.

China King Buffet's new management has utterly ruined what was once our go-to spot. Since the ownership change, the food quality has plummeted—dishes that were once flavorful now taste bland, and the fresh ingredients have been replaced with subpar options. Truly disappointing.

Absolutely gross after the change in ownership. Walnut shrimp is just frozen, breaded shrimp that seemed microwaved. No sauce, no walnuts... Gross. Every dish we tried was terrible. Seems to be a company on complaint all over the local pages. Definitely would suggest you avoid this place now

The food was not very good. We went to eat at the buffet as the menu shows a nice buffet of 3 tables of food and there was only 1 table. The food did not look good in the buffet, so we ordered from the menu. The food was not good at all. The owners children seemed to be doing the waiters/waitress job. We will not be returning. The older boy was friendly and was on top of our drinks, but the food was not good.

I don't know what happened to this place, but it's changed and for the worse. I ordered 50 dollars worth of food for my family and only the white rice and one entree was remotely edible. The soup was almost chemical tasting and managed to be the consistency of jelly even when hot?? Disgusting. Even the fried rice, which is such a simple dish tasted bland and chemically as well. It's almost as if they microwaved everything in the plastic freezer bags they came in and served it. No one would eat it, the dog didn't even want most of it. A huge waste of money and food, I will not be ordering here again.

I walked from the pilot truck stop here the food taste awful burnt oil taste on the food and the selection was minimal I told the lady and she acted like she didn’t speak English and when I said I didn’t believe her she motioned me to leave

Come here for buffet but every thing is finished did a lot china king buffet on hwy on all state of America as a trucker but this is what where I see everything is finished it’s closed at 9 pm now 6:40 pm I pass so many state but google to find out where is buffet my worst experience with them nothing and very small items well good luck

The most expensive Chinese buffet I have eaten in the USA and the worst one is small, it doesn't have much variety, the worst thing is the bathroom, it smells horrible, it's unsanitary, after eating I almost vomited when I entered the bathroom, it's really not good, I paid $19.

We use to get walnut shrimp there all the time got it tonight and it was just fried shrimp no sauce and not one walnut. Two orders of "walnut shrimp" $44 will not be going back

Wow, there's actually a Chinese buffet out here in Fernley! It's in a little strip mall and the prices aren't too bad. The size isn't real big, but there's plenty of food to eat. Just make sure you get here early so you'll get the freshest food. Service is fine, they clear the plates is all.
