A true piece of Americana with excellent food.I biked here from Fallon and literally everyone welcomed me, showed interest and even shared history about the town.The burger was a 1/2 pound, delicious and smothered in love and bacon. The fries were amazing - fresh cut and cooked perfectly.A particular shout out to Lee who made me feel at home and took good care of me.While there isn’t a lot on Google maps in Gabbs, there is a Motel and Gas station across from the bar. Lee also manages both. The rooms were quaint and functional - a much needed rest from my days in the backcountry.

We camped outside of Gabbs for some side by side exploring and stopped here for food and drinks. The owner Lee was working that night and was very hospitable. I highly recommend stopping in if passing through. They open at 3:30 and can sell you ice or fuel. Looked like diesel is available. They operate the motel in town too. Lee has done a great job of making this place look nice and said he’s been updating the motel rooms. Definitely coming back again!

I've been bringing my group of UTV riders here for 4 years in a row! Lee and his staff are the best! We always include this stop on our rides and fill up on gas too! The food is great, the beer is cold and the company is outstanding! If you are ever in the area, a must stop and I'm sure you will get a story or two from the locals! Cheers!

I pedaled my bicycle from New York City to San Francisco, arriving in Gabbs on a 100 degree afternoon in early September. The owner, Lee, opened the bar early to get me cold water and a beer. It' the kind of place where strangers walk in and are welcomed immediately. The food is simple, yet wonderful. Lee makes a Reuben Sandwich that rivals any I've had in New York City. Ken, one of the amazing locals even drove 120 miles to Tonopah, NV to get my bike fixed. Leaving those folks, even after just 24 hours, was like leaving family. R&D's is the true Cheers!

An absolute gem! Great people, cold beer, delicious food. Best burgers, sandwiches and fries! I need more of those fries in my life. And their sauerkraut is the best I've ever eaten. Friendliest owner and patrons. Right across the street from their motel. If you're in the area and it's after 3:30 or so, stop in. You won't be disappointed. Will be back next year for race. Talk about a trip to the past. We were heading back to California from visiting my kids near Elko, NV. This little town took us by surprise. We needed to stop for gas and restrooms, the only place opened was the Bar and Grill. The bartender followed us across the road to an old 1950s style Gas Station and Pumps to unlock it for us and let us fill up and then we paid by card on her card reader. I wish we would have taken photos but everyone was tired and wanted to get home. It may be a small little community but they will help you out.
