This is great, this is a must-do stop when we get over to Goldfield. It's kind of hit and Miss on the hours that they're open and we pulled up after 8:00 in the morning and it looked closed but I went up to the door and the lady was just kind of starting to open and said yeah come on in. Not a huge menu but enough to cover all the bases, good coffee and table service.
A perfect Philly!
Diner fare: I had a crispy chicken sandwich, cole slaw. Lettuce on sandwich was fresh. Cole slaw was fresh and tasty. Well done crispy chicken. The lady running the diner needed to close soon due to an appointment, but she (and helpful partner) cranked out delicious lunches for me and 3 others, all with super friendly energy. The food was quite good and highly appreciated, but the personal connection to produce lunch for us while she was under pressure herself? Priceless! She even brought out dessert cakes for us free of charge as she had to leave! Sweet! Sweet person!
We also got some great literature in there for our rockhounding adventures. Dinky Diner and the owner: a true gem.

Went to this place as it said they are dog friendly. Walked in the door and there was a dog bowl on the floor as you walk in. The waiter was rude to us told us they don't allow dogs in the restaurant. We told him there website said they where dog friendly and why would there be a dog bowl inside if they weren't. He could of at least said they serve outside for dog guests but he didn't and he was very rude. We walked because of the rudeness of the waiter. If you have a dog I wouldn't bother and I will never go back there.

Homemade fried potatoes were amazing , and everything was cooked to profection. The portions are good sized and it has the feel of an old-time western diner.
Dietary restrictions: The staff was very accommodating in sharing ingredients and making adjustments so I could enjoy a corn and wheat free meal.

Our first time stopping in on our way from Las Vegas to Hawthorn. If you have the time stop in for breakfast. We had the best egg Muffins sandwiches. They were supper friendly and took pride in their food. I love this place. We’ll definitely stop back in on our way back to Vegas for lunch.

Dinky Diner is a true gem, one of the last remaining old diners in central Nevada. Nestled in the historic town of Goldfield, it serves as the perfect pit stop whether you’re traveling from Reno to Las Vegas or making the journey in reverse. The diner exudes a nostalgic charm, offering classic comfort food that hits the spot after hours on the road.
The ambiance inside is as authentic as it gets, with vintage decor and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, making it an ideal place to refuel before continuing your journey.
While you’re there, be sure to take a short detour about a mile down the road to explore the quirky car cemetery. It’s an intriguing slice of local history and adds to the unique experience of stopping at Dinky Diner. Whether you’re a fan of roadside Americana or just in need of a good meal, this diner is not to be missed on your Nevada road trip.
Parking: Entrance to parking lot is not on the main road. The entrance to the parking is on the side street.
