Great place with lots of history and a cool atmosphere. Some regulars and the bartender were great.
But...
Beware of puffy eyes and man hands...
Not nice.
Great place
We live in a time when unique is a shrinking resource and this place is nothing if not that. Tons of atmosphere, the room is just fine, bartender / front desk / everything person was wonderful and theres a lot of piled up history across the street.
And it was, btw, $100 less than same room in Tonopah.
We came too late for food so had a bag of chips. The whiskey sour was refreshing. Leslie welcomed us at a late hour and we really enjoyed her hospitality and stories about Goldfield.
A Hidden Gem in the Middle of Nowhere – Santa Fe Saloon
If you're cruising through Nevada and find yourself near Goldfield, do not skip the Santa Fe Saloon. It’s a must-stop for anyone who enjoys a cozy, friendly, and totally affordable experience that feels like stepping back in time. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with that old Wild West charm—complete with historic decor, creaky floorboards, and stories in the air.
The staff are absolute legends. Not only are they warm and welcoming, they’re more than happy to share tales of the town’s rich and quirky past. Whether you’re grabbing a cold drink, soaking in the atmosphere, or just looking to chat with some locals, this saloon delivers on all fronts.
Prices are great, the vibes are even better, and you’ll leave with a smile (and probably a story or two). Highly recommended!
Just a good time to be out there if you want to get away from people nice bar to be in that’s for sure love 💕 it 🥰
A cool little bar in rural Nevada.
Walked there from campground. It was too smoky for us-tgus the atmosphere reading low (allergies) but those that smoke would like this place. Very historic. Bartender was very friendly. We stayed for a drink, looked around to read history info & left. Cool, historic place. Not sure they had food. Full bar, slot machines, pool table, restrooms.

Love this old bar
The wife and I broke down just outside of Goldfield, NV. We got to stay in this nice little hotel, which is very affordable. They don’t charge a pet fee which was amazing as well, the bar is a nice place to hang out as well with some of the locals. Overall the hotel was nice and pretty clean, just need to get there and get food before 8 because the town will be shut down after that.

A bar where Wyatt Earp once worked and still standing! Great place to hang, nice atmosphere too. Even though the only food is really frozen pizza, it's better than most frozen pizza I've had. It's historic and worth checking out if you're into the old west.

An absolute MUST STOP if you are road-tripping through Nevada! An amazing little gem of a historic mine-town bar and motel. It's about 4 blocks in from the main highway (closer to the mines, so miners didn't have to walk all the way to Main St for a drink). The street isn't paved, but it's very well maintained so any car can get there without issues. As of March 2024, they're open 2p to 9p. Don't let the sign fool you, the barkeep is an absolute sweetheart. Inside, find a beautiful antique bar, lots of original details, super friendly locals, cheap domestic beer nice and cold, and a wood stove, nice and warm.Out back are about half a dozen motel rooms that are nice, basic, clean, and well priced, arranged around a cool old mine headworks and a Joshua Tree. Excellent sunsets. Across the street is a rusting collection of steam engines, old Ford's, and other neat mining detritus. You might want to call the bar to reserve, they do sell out sometimes. This is an old-school place - you have to call, no apps, no website. Or just drop in the bar and they'll set you up.Note that there's not much open in Goldfield - there's no gas station or grocery store here. Also, the WiFi is not really usable, but I had 5G cell service that worked.
