The staff is always so kind and prompt to serving you. The different types of food I've had there has always been great. Haven't tried anything I've disliked yet. It's always a great time when my friends and I are having a night out at Joe's or just stopping in for dinner or a quick lunch!!

Not sure how this place gets more than the one star I'm giving. Food was just mediocre. Steak was over cooked and tough. CFS gravy was a blob on top of a pretty decent fried steak but the mashed potatoes were gluey and tasteless. Checked out the burgers delivered at the table next to us and they were just sad. Service was polite but so very slow. IDK if it was just the cook tonight but I wished I would have just went to Mc Donald.

Here we are in downtown Hawthorne, NV and stopped at Joe's Tavern for dinner. Sat outside, because we had the dog with us. Our waitress, Samatha, brought him water when she brought our drinks. Had a half Cobb amazing salad, and the fish and chips. Very nice dinner and great service. And Max the dog met some really nice people. Highly recommend!

Great food! Definitely a notch above the ambiguous label "bar food". This is a tavern, obviously, but there's a nice variety in the menu and we would recommend our selections to anyone; Carne Asada fries, Pacific Cobb salad, and the Steak salad. We didn't want a super heavy meal so we ended up with the Carne Asada appetizer and each ordered half a salad. The half salad was respectable! I am often disappointed in the "half" sizes because they end up being nothing more than a side plate. Joe's half salad is a solid light meal, for sure. Our servers were top shelf, really friendly, quick and attentive!

A lot has changed here at Joe's through the years. First time here was in 94. A good bar to have drinks all night and play pool. Last time before this they were doing a remodel. So now I'm in town again for work so I stop on in. Got me a beer than ordered CFS, loaded baked potato and some onion rings. Beer cold, onion rings tasty. The batter made the CFS tasty. Loaded potato was Loaded but wasn't real hot so I asked for it to be heated again. Tasted good. Meal was filling and the service was friendly. Good place to stop in for a beer and a lil something to eat

The selection and the atmosphere don’t get much better in this little town. The wait might be a little longer, but there’s lots of games to play in the meantime. The staff is wonderful and the beer is cold.

Nice selection of beers. Had the beef salad and it was pretty good. I ordered cheese sticks that never came. UPDATE: Came again to Joe's, they immediately gave a sincere apology for my cheese sticks (no worries though). Had the wings naked with sauce on the side (Nitro and Sirachayaki) and they were pretty good.

Honestly? In the 9 months since I've left this review you guys have earned 5 stars. You have some amazing waiters and waitresses, everybody's super friendly and the food's great, if a little expensive, but with everything going on right now that's perfectly understandable. Overall definite 5 stars. You guys are awesome!
Great bar tenders. Emily and Adam helped us and were very tentative. The food can be great and filling, depending on who’s on. The gentleman who use to cook out next to the bar and sometimes in the back made everything perfect and presented like he cared about the quality. Didn’t catch his name but he was a bigger dude with a hat on most of the time. He was honestly great. No doubt undervalued.

Service was a little slow due to one person, but the food was quite good. My primary plus for Joe's Tavern was it was a quiet place to sit down and eat that was not a casino or McDonalds. No ding ding ding!

My wife's sandwich was cold, my sandwich was a taco favored sliced meat with sauerkraut, awful.Contacted owner nothing solved. Awful $40 brunch.We were eating there regularly. It's been going down for several weeks.We stopped doing business with them completely.
