We have stopped in Hawthorne several times in the past, as it is right in the middle of our home and Vegas. We had a bad meal at the local casino the last time so we decided to try Pepper's Place. A funky, old building, but the folks inside couldn't have been nicer. The portions of the food are huge. I had the Patty Melt and didn't realize that it came with two large patties. It was cooked to perfection, and the Texas Toast was great too. My wife had a Taco Salad that must have weighed two pounds. The Frings (rings and fries) was a large portion too. I would have liked the fries a little crisper but all in all, it was a very satisfying meal.

Idk if the reviews are old or if I happened to be there on the worst day of someone’s life, but wow how awful that was, just nothing was rescuable, burger, hot dog, fries all just terrible, so bad its been months and I still cant get over how bad it was, cashier was nice-ish.

Great bacon cheeseburger. Good fries. A little cold sitting outside on the coldest of winter days (which isn't all that cold to this former Minnesotan) but the cover is effective for capturing the sun's warmth. Glad we stopped!

Awesome local restaurant with cooked to order food. Burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries/rings, and everything you could want from a burger joint. Cool style in a town that warrants a stop. Hawthorne is an awesome little northern Nevada town with not too many restaurants so a stop here is a must!
