This restaurant was a disappointment for a Hyatt. I was there on a Monday morning. It was crowded, but the service was below expectation. Big delay getting greated and order taken. The waitress did check back. The staff seemed more focused on setting up tables than checking back with guests.Update: Returned the following morning. The restaurant was not as busy. Service was very good and attentive. Perhaps they had a staffing issue the previous visit.

Absolute garbage experience. Ordered a build your own veggie omelette with no oil and they added cheese even though I ordered it without. So I had them remake it, and the second time, the omelette had hardly any veggies and it was soaked in oil and looked more like scrambled eggs instead of an omelette. So I had to send the second omelette back and go next door to Sierra provisions and just grabbed a bagel for breakfast instead. I hate how when the kitchen messes something up, the remake is always some sloppy hastily made garbage. It’s not my fault they messed up the first time.

Expect longer waits in the morning. Breakfast buffet is excellent. I usually don't take the buffet but they have good quality items and variety for the price.

Sierra Café is located on the lower level of Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort. Breakfast is served between 7-11:30 am and lunch is served between 12-3:30 pm. They do not serve dinner. The café has a good amount of tables with an outdoor area facing the resort pool. We didn't have any problem getting a table at around 9:00 am ish but they do get busy. We had breakfast here both mornings while staying at the Resort. They have all your basic breakfast items from eggs, omelets, pancakes, bacon and waffles. Everything we had was delicious. The pancake and omelet was probably my favorite. The breakfast buffet is only available on the weekend.Excellent service. The servers are attentive, friendly and professional.

Wow. It was a good decision to have a late breakfast here at Sierra Cafe while enjoying our stay at Hyatt Regency. The servers were very welcoming and nice atmosphere. It's overlooking the mountain, so the view was amazing!! I ordered a pancake with berries since the server recommended it was one of their popular menues. I LOVE their pancakes so much. Pancake wasn't overall sweet or buttery. Soft and moist. The color was more brownish so I guess it's not just plain wheat (maybe wholegrain or mixed?). It came with plenty of fresh berries and ice cream on top. Can't go wrong

Fantastic food. Great service! We had breakfast here and ordered the mixed berry pancakes and the special which was huevos rancheros. Ambiance was chill and pretty.

My husband and I had breakfast here. He got very ill with diarrhea and vomiting afterward. I reported this to The Hyatt front desk. My breakfast was OK. We did not have the same menu item.

The $35 breakfast buffet was not only expensive but the hot food (waffles, pancakes, eggs etc) were ice cold each time. So we then started to order off the menu which was better.

Emmaleigh, I believe her name was. The hostess, she also works in the coffee shop. You have an amazing employee in her. As someone in the industry, I know workers like her are rare these days.

Stayed here for a week, loved it. It is very convenient to have a rental for snowboarders and skiers right at the hotel. Wonderful service and food. Liked the breakfasts. Disappointing only one hostess in the restaurant - Marco. Unfriendly, rude, arrogant, muttering something under his breath is impossible to make out, turns away and does not listen in every possible way showing disinterest. All the time missing from the workplace. Today we waited for him for 10 minutes and in the end the waiters put us in because he was not in the hall or at the workplace. Today is a weekday. There were a lot of people here on the weekends and the wonderful hostesses coped and they managed to leave a pleasant impression every day. Like the waiters, they are all great! But Marco does not understand his work responsibilities at all. I'm sure his responsibilities are not walking around in circles in an empty room with a businesslike look, ignoring the guests who are waiting to be seated, pretending that he’s doing something important. All the days when Marco was at the reception - he mocked the guests.

Came here because we were staying at the hotel & it was convenient. They also had GF breakfast options, which are rare for me because I don't eat eggs. The buffet is a reasonable options for kids; you pay by age. So my 7 year old got the buffet. My 11 year old ordered off the kids menu. They kinda shared. The gluten free pancakes were ok. I ordered oJ and the waited clarified but I didn't understand. I didn't realize there was regular oJ and hand pressed oJ. I got the hand pressed, which was ridiculously expensive.
