This place is bad when it comes to service and taking orders. Do not recommend.
We overheard a waitress say in cantonese “why are they still here.” we had sat down for 15mins. when asked for the bill, the waiter commented “cash or credit card, im very busy.” time is money, right? our tip reflected the passive aggressive comments by the staff.
It is the best Chinese in town. However, the waiter has become rude due to the popularity. One time, the waiter suggested passively the three dishes I ordered for me and my mom wasn't enough to occupy the table during dinner time.
Very good place to eat, good prices
This establishment only accepts cash, which is quite inconvenient. Despite leaving a tip, the service remained poor—staff members were unfriendly and inattentive. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience.
Old school Chinese BBQ and create your own noodles. If you're from Chicago you have to come here. Brings back fond memories of old noodle shop. The roasted duck is a must have.
Cash only establishment. While I was recommended this place with high praise, I found the locations underwhelming and food was okay. I wouldn’t give any criticism or praise. There is a number of dishes to choose from, ranging from noodle bowls with the meats of your choice. I wouldn’t rave or rant much more
Not too busy. Their noodles are still good.
Food was okay… The atmosphere is definitely a bunch of families and everything, but I would have to say what really knocked at this rating was the service. I’ve noticed speak. Mandarin have a harder time having assistance with anything at this people Cantonese. A waiter for us rolled his eyes when we asked a question for clarification… Another group of people that came in. I also spoke. Mandarin was completely ignored waiting for a table for a while before we left.
Duck and pork are great, 10/10
Fried rice (yang zhou): 10/10
Curry fish ball: 3/10, not my favorite
Beef tripe: 7/10 ok
Lemonade tea: 5/10, tastes just like the one in the bottles sold in market

If you order a whole steam chicken to go, they will steal you parts of the chicken. The mostly delicious part. Be careful!
$21 for the most basic double meat rice. And not even side sauce. I had to read the review to know they tagged a 20% tips on the bill, ON A TAKE OUT!!She didn’t even give me a receipt. They taking cash probably because they don’t pay any taxes. This place is for white ppl want Chinese food and gets jips. Real Asian don’t come here.
It's really really good
I used to come here all the time. I fully understood the concept of getting “abused” to eat good Chinese food. But not anymore with this place… Food quality is mid, portion size is significantly reduced. Some staff are nice but majority of them seem entitled. I felt like I was servicing them instead of us receiving their service.
One gripe I have is they only accept cash after all these years. Their business should be good enough by now to afford credit card services. How inconvenient.
Tips if you insist on going: make sure your party is present prior to be seated, order double portion, don’t make alteration to your order.
Highly recommend roast duck and roast pork. Very crispy and tastes authentic HK style duck and pork. Highly greatly recommended
