Ordered gumbo and it had 0 flavor, 0 spice, and 0 effort. Came out just after 4 mins of waiting. Just a plate of some tomatoey soup with some unflavored shrimp and sausage in it. Just save your $ and go to one of the oyster bars in palace casino. You’ll get yourself your moneys worth of a good, thick, brown shrimp gumbo .

Disappointed by the service. I had just checked into the hotel and walked by the restaurant, noticed the sign where their specials end at 4pm. I questioned their staff about the specials and they said the restaurant is open they just won’t have the sandwiches. I mentioned that I wanted to order oysters and that I will go to my room and come back, only to find out that the half price oysters was also apart of the 4 o clock special but no one told me when I asked. If I had known, I would have sat down right then and there at 3:45 pm but instead when I wanted to return half an hour later, they refused to honor the special. I’m disappointed because when I asked about it I wasn’t given the right information, and as someone who works in the service industry as well you own your mistake/miscommunication and find a way to accommodate for it but instead they refused to. I’m sure their food is good, but I no longer feel comfortable dining here.

We drive through Las Vegas several times a year and cannot skip the Big Sur at South Point!
A bowl of New England Clam Chowder and a dozen oysters are a great meal, anytime.
Especially good before 1600, when oysters are half Price!!
The chicken Caesar Salad is excellent, also.
Will stop next on 8/14/25!

First I want to say I have never had bad food here. Now with that said I was a bit disappointed while watching the guy shuck oysters. I was just watching him while eating my food. I've spent a lot of time in New England and have had a tone of oysters. 1st I saw him cut the band the open the shell and not detach the meat from the shell. 2nd I saw him open an oyster put the empty half on the platter then grab oyster meat from a tub and place it in the empty shell. 3rd I saw him open an oyster and then wash the oyster under running water, was this for a quality issue with the oyster? I personally think the guy was just a bit on the lazy side. Once again the place is one of my favorites and I will definitely eat here again.

One of the reasons I return to this casino when I visit lost wages...both nights ate here before playing...one of the best seared scallops I've had in a long time...plus the casino clams were a nice starter... only thing I didn't like was the clam chowder tasted like potatoe soup forgot the clams....service is very good .

We stopped in for dinner last night and everything was excellent! Our server Joel was great! Crab cocktail was a wonderful lite appetizer we split. My scampi pasta was delicious and my wife’s fish and chips were amazing! The best fish and chips I’ve ever eaten! South Point Casino is an excellent Full Service operation!

Oysters opened on site, you can order several varieties. $33 a dozen, the smallest variety is sweet and delicious. The bread before the meal is also good. The fried fish and chips are not as juicy as the ones I have eaten before. The service is friendly. The casino is old but popular

My waitress was great. Came over quickly and checked on me frequently. My main problem was with the foods and drinks. The only champagne they had was honestly disgusting - it was syrupy sweet and tasted cheap. The brut rose was tolerable but incredibly overpriced. The oysters were also warm and had a bit of a fishy taste/smell about them. Don’t think I’ll be going back.

I love this spot whenever we’re in Vegas we eat here at least one of the days.

My favorite oyster bar in Las Vegas. The energy is live and the service is on point. My go to is the Louisiana gold seal oysters, which are sweet with every bite. The combo pan roast is another delicious eat, so creamy, savory with every bite, again. A place to try with so many other items to taste.

Had the lobster roll, the wife had the jambalaya. the staff here was stellar, like every other place here at South point. The lobster was stuffed with lobster, so good. My wife’s jambalaya was spicy and delicious also. Had a Kirin on draft, cold and smooth. Highly recommend Baja due Oyster bar.

Annie has been here fir a few years. I cone twice a year for golf. The food is good enough but her customer service is always on par! She is funny and makes the meal marvelous. An uncanny knack of what I want without even knowing me. I only cone twice a year! Diamond in the rough! Good enough eatings.

I've had the oysters Rockefeller every time I'm in Vegas and they are always awesome 👌 fresh 😋 and perfectly season. Both of their soups chowder are full of clams and fish 🐟. Service is excellent Yoshi
