Food is good, management is horrible. We waited for over 2 1/2hours when they said the wait would be 1-1 1/2. The table we were waiting for ate and cashed out, and 2 of their friends sat down and ordered after their party ate and cashed out. We asked for 2 separate tables for our bigger party. They told us we’d have to be put on the list for 2 smaller tables and have to start the 1 1/2 wait time all over again. Wait staff was amazing and made our experience better.

Do not waste your money or time eating their gumbo probably the jambalaya and not the greatest either I ate the gumbo tonight. It taste like it came out of a Campbell Soup can disgusting. I can’t believe they want $30 a plate for this. I normally eat gumbo at the casinos and I thought well what could go wrong well terrible it’s like they just put, a soup like stew sauce it’s not gumbo. It’s nothing close stations is the best I gave it a shot. Will never eat there again. I suggest you stay away.

If you're searching for a taste of authentic Southern comfort in Las Vegas, the gumbo at Big Sur Oyster Bar in South Point Casino is a must-try! The gumbo was rich, hearty, and full of flavor. From the first spoonful, it was clear that this dish was made with care and tradition in mind. The broth had the perfect balance of spices, with a deep, smoky flavor that was complemented by the fresh seafood and andouille sausage. The shrimp were plump and tender, and the sausage added just the right amount of heat and richness. The portion was generous, and the consistency was spot on—not too thick, but substantial enough to be satisfying. It was served over a bed of fluffy white rice, which soaked up the flavors beautifully, making each bite more delicious than the last. The ambiance of the Big Sur Oyster Bar also added to the experience. The casual yet inviting atmosphere made it a great spot to enjoy a comforting bowl of gumbo, whether you're dining alone or with friends.

We were good at the table, until my teenagers brought food from shake n steak, started eating
Then the manager/Ana and a cashier came to us, interrupted/told us that my boys can not eat there, " I don't want to be rude but they can't eat their food here" she lacks awareness that it's already rude to stop my teenager kids to stop eating just because of policy
I think she s scared to lose her job in these minor incident that she forgot about customer services
It should have been I'll let you go this time but next time it's a no no

I'm happy to be able to eat fresh oysters and clams, and I really like dishes with plenty of seafood.

Very bad experience last night for dinner. Our server was very rude and loud and was threatening. We didn't wanna make a scene and make it a big deal since we had kids with us. Basically the issue was they don't allow comps to be used when the person who has the comps is not there the ENTIRE time of dining. She happened to need to go to the bathroom while we were waiting for the food. The entire time she wasn't there, the server came up to our table at least 3 or 4 times threatening us that if she's not coming back they will charge us the bill and not use the comps. Each time he gets louder and louder where everyone was looking at our table. We ate fast and just had the food to-go because we couldn't take it anymore. We had come to this restaurant so many times, with and without comps because we liked the food. But this event was too bad that I told my family not to go back there. I was trying to keep calm but was very tempted to talk back at this server the way he was with us. We chose to just leave because of the kids. All other times were good service, this night was an exemption and that server was for sure not made for that kind of job. Very rude to customers.

3 large shrimp in a $21 shrimp cocktail.4 small shrimp in a Shrimp Pan Roast for $33. I know another oyster bar in the NW of Vegas with 5 times the shrimp this had and twice the soup and cheaper with WOW flavor. I gotta have another spoonful. Also had the Gumbo with lots of chicken and sausage and a few shrimp. Both soups had decent flavor but lacking quantity for $30 plus prices. Also had Fish & Chips. Excellent Fresh oil, fried to a golden brown Holiday weekend. Busy, got seated with little wait time. Server was fast and friendly

Went to South Point for the Prime Rib! Not open! Not to worry! Stopped at Big Sur Oyster Bar ! Sat at the bar! Service was super nice and punctual! Did not have oyster but they looked fabulous! Both had pan roasts! I had the gumbo! Super delicious! They use the same pan roast machines as the famous Grand Central Oyster Bar in New York! We Come from a fishing town in New England! Had no expectation of such a delicious dinner! Very delighted and surprised! Would recommend for sure! Also, felt the players at the casino were happier and nicer than on the Strip!
