We had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant during F1 weekend. We paid $200 USD weeks in advance for what we believed was the special race-day dining event. Being visitors from Australia, we weren’t fully across all the local details, but we were excited to have secured a reservation.

When we arrived, we were seated at a regular table and ordered off the normal menu — no mention was made of the event we had prepaid for. After finishing our meal, we were suddenly told that our $200 USD had been refunded and that we now owed $400 USD plus drinks and tip, totalling $799 AUD. We questioned this twice, but one of us was feeling unwell (not from the food), so we paid just to be able to leave quickly.

Only later did we discover there was a completely different menu and experience for the event we had originally booked — including an open bar and special dining options — none of which we were ever told about or offered.

We returned the following day to clarify the situation, and the manager’s attitude was immediately defensive and dismissive. He repeatedly insisted that “everyone paid $200 USD,” and focused heavily on the fact that we had signed the receipt, ignoring the core issue: we had paid for the event and were never directed to the event area or given what we paid for. I raised with him that he felt quite aggressive and just want to talk about it. He accused me of being aggressive so his response therefore was of the same manner.

When I asked for a copy of our receipt to discuss this further, the first response wasn’t “yes,” but instead that I needed to provide my copy — which we had never been given. Only after physically walking back to the table where we had dined did he reluctantly agree to look for it, reminding us that “hundreds of people” had eaten there (which was untrue). He then disappeared, and after waiting 15 minutes, we had to ask another staff member for help.

This whole situation has cast a shadow over our holiday. To make matters worse, we still haven’t received the refund for the original $200 USD, meaning we have now paid around $1,000 AUD for this experience.

Overall, the treatment felt discriminatory and dismissive, and we genuinely believe this happened because we are international visitors. We cannot recommend this venue, and we hope other travellers are treated with more honesty and respect.

If you’re planning to come for the NRL in 2026, don’t dine here.

The food was so delicious 🤤. It was very hot the restaurant was clean the staff was super knowledgeable and nice and professional. I would most definitely recommend this place to eat. It’s family friendly and the atmosphere is amazing, fun , and warm if you’re in the area check it out !

We had an amazing experience at Buddy V’s! The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very generous. The service was great from start to finish, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

We ordered the NY steak sandwich, and it was truly out of this world. The sauce was incredible and the meat was extremely tender. Even the plain salad on the side was surprisingly delicious. Everything we tasted exceeded our expectations.

We loved our meal here and would highly recommend Buddy V’s to anyone visiting The Venetian. We will definitely be coming back!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The calamari was crisp and flavorful, the shrimp pasta was rich and perfectly cooked, and the pizza was outstanding with great texture and taste. A fantastic meal from start to finish — highly recommend!
