Over priced. Made me feel like a normal restaurant. Not a high priced steakhouse. I can't go to a fancy steak house for the same price
It wasn't a great experience. The table was very wobbly and we had to put a napkin under it so it would be more stable. The server was non-existent. When he was there he ignored one person at the table and had to be called back to take their drink order and food order. We were only a party of 7. That shouldn't be too hard for a sever to handle especially when they were not busy at all. The gentleman that was helping with bringing the food, clearing out plates was the only nice thing about the place. The food was subpar for those prices. I would recommend going to a different steakhouse.
Disappointed in the ambiance and food. Decor was like a Denny's, it was loud, people behind us were dropping F-bomb in every sentence, service slow and food was mediocre at best. Way too expensive. Would not go back and don't recommend.
The food was fabulously cooked and exactly as ordered. The service was incredible and super friendly and the waiter was kind enough to take photos of the family after dinner!
While the dinner was very good, it wasn't hot. The chicken parmigiana was excellent, but it was warm and the spaghetti was barely warm. The service was excellent but we were surprised when the photographer waited to ask us if we wanted a picture until our food was served. She had been standing around talking to employees and then decided it was a good time to take pictures. We obviously refused. But we will definitely be going back because everyone has an off night and this is very unusual for Buddy and Mayer's
The food was great but pricey for drinks.... not a great dessert selection but salad, steak and king crab leb was great!
If have to rate the service on a 10 scale. I would give it a 3 at best. The server was one of the least attentive I have experienced. We were seated promptly. The previous tables check was still on table. A sign I would say. We saw a server walk by our table numerous times without a greating or any sort of acknowledgement. This turned out to be our server. My wife and I ordered an appetizer 2 steaks and a side. Coconut shrimp, 16oz boneless Ribeye, 20oz bone in Ribeye with Asparagus. First the Coconut shrimp was in our opinion was one of the best we have had. After our appetizer was cleared we waited over 35 minutes for our steaks. First my wifes steak was perfectly cooked though a bit underseasoned. Again no server so we had to ask the young man filling water glasses for salt. My steak again underseasoned and Rare not mediumrare. Infact it was cool. Our server finally came to the table and I addressed the steak. She did appologize and said she would bring another. Manager came back with the steak and asked me to check it. It was medium this time. I accepted the steak took a few bites and we then finished my wifes steak. I was taking the steak home for shave and make a cheesesteak. My wife and I are not difficult eaters. We have dined at some of the most exclusive restaurants in this country. We have experienced almost every steakhouse in this town. If there is one thing a steakhouse has to get right is the steak. We would not go back for sure. I am sure they have done better before and will do better after. But on this night with my wife and me. A no go.
The sea bass was excellent and we were seated within a few minutes of our reservation. The carpaccio appetizer and drinks were also very good. The problem was with the time it took to order and get our waiter's attention, to the time the food arrived. We came in at 7:15 and it was nearly 9 by the time the entrees arrived. Seemed to be the forgotten table. Of course it was a Friday night on a 3-day weekend. We would definitely go again, especially for the sea bass.
Food is good. The coconut shrimp is super great and steaks always good. The crab leg option was about $90 and it is only one leg. Kind of a rip off. Otherwise good.
Excellent steak. Rib cap was amazing and all of the sides were great. Service was excellent as well.
Restaurantji Recommends
They seem to be bothered that we weren't staying at The Flamingo. Then, the waiter seem to take his time doing everything, even though there were only two other couples in the restaurant. Finally, they didn't even bring bread to the table. This is the first steakhouse I have been to that did not bring bread to the table after we were seated. We will not recommend, nor eat here again.
Food was terrible. Had short ribs over potatoes, short ribs were very dry and minimal sauce over them. Potatoes had no flavor. I had the 16 oz ribeye cooked medium rare. Steak was cooked medium and no taste. It's like it had been cooked in the oven. No char marks no flavor and was cold. We waited 45 minutes after our appetizers were served to get our meal. The appetizers were the best part. Onion soup and Caesar salad. For over $200 we expected more.
The services, atmosphere and entertainment were exceptional. It would have been good to know the seafood tower was chilled, not hot. The side dishes asparagus and potatoes au gratin, we perfect. The drinks seemed to be watered down and at $25-30 a piece that was very disappointing.
Everything was great from the steak to the sides. The service was outstanding, very knowledgeable and had great suggestions.
Just let me say that our area ,where we dine was awesome!!! They had great service and the ambiance was amazing too!!! Our seats in the back by the bar was nice touch too. We were in Vegas to get married and wanted to eat dinner here the night of.
