I asked for a steak salad and all proceeded as normal until the employee added the steak.. stirred it around through my rice and beans and then proceeded to remove two pieces returning them to the collective container!! Beyond disgusting ? less so for me, but the guests behind me.

Can never get mobile orders right. Wrong meat, no/wrong sides, salsa almost always nonexistent. Don’t dare try to get anything on the side, won’t get it.At least we get free food from corporate every time they mess up by doing surveys and customer satisfaction reports

They were out of half the menu items. Some kid who appeared to be on drugs had headphones in while making food and would say "huh" every time I asked for something. The whole place was filthy and in disarray. It felt like a 3rd world country in there. Couple this with unreasonable prices and you have zero value. I wouldn't bother going back.

I had a terrible experience at this Cafe Rio. I used to live by the one on Sahara, which is heads and shoulders above this one. I ordered from the app, which I would never do again. The amount of chicken on my tacos was MINIMAL, not to mention there was no cheese AT ALL. I got such attitude from two of the girls, one was making the food and one was collecting my items. EXTREMELY RUDE customer service. Today while heating up my skimy little chicken taco, I notice there is a lable on the container that is not even my order. If you insist on eating here, don't order ahead!!!! WATCH THEM PREPARE IT! I'll not ever eat here again.

I don't know if it's just this location or if service has gone down in general, but cafe rio used to be my favorite place to go to. The past 2 times, I have ordered my food online well in advance, and I get here, and my order has not even been made. Today, I ordered 2 pounds of steak, the order was put in at 9:30 and I ordered it to be ready at 11am. I get there at 11am, and it was not ready, the employee did not start making it until 11:10. I didn't get my order until just now, it is 11:35. Everyone in there seemed to either hate their jobs or was having a bad day. I get stuff like this happens, but I feel as if there should not be an excuse for my order to take this long.

Went into this location on 3/15/24 around 6:10pm and the young man preparing orders had theeeee nastiest attitude with everyone that came in to place an order .. I’m from cali and I’ve never had an issue with any order from cafe Rio .. I ordered pollo asado nachos even though I usually get shredded chicken or steak (the shredded chicken & steak looked old and dry) .. so I went with the pollo asado which I had never had but it looked the freshest out of all the proteins.. Got all the regular toppings and of course I had to ask for extra because the amount of toppings that they try to send me off with could barely cover half of the chips .. they charge for extra as well which doesn’t make sense to me (charging extra for protein is understandable) but for the simple toppings it makes no sense ..the counters were filthy as usual and the toppings looked old … i asked for jalapeños and the lady tried to lie and say they were out.. just too lazy to go get them so the cashier went and got them .. I don’t understand why these ppl apply for these jobs but don’t want to do what they applied for … the food was ok .. I didn’t expect the meat to be on the sweeter side but more so a little spice it was hard and crunchy as well .. had to add lettuce at home to avoid another up charge ..only good thing about my experience was the cashier .. he was very friendly and attentive.. not just to me but everyone I seen him cone in contact with .. it says Ezra on my receipt so I’m assuming that’s his name … if it is .. thank you Ezra
The food is great, don't get me wrong. But the service experience is always terrible. Went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty slow. The workers had no energy and made the food all sloppy. I bought a large drink only to find out they had no more horchata. Sorry, but cafe rio has hit rock bottom for me.
Tostada with flour tortilla and sweet pork is my go-to. Service has been consistently solid over the years. I love the new tables outside.
