Two years in a row and poor service. I can't rate anything else, we left after 15 minutes and no service. There were 3 other people there, it was dead, bartender was yucking it up with someone they knew the entire time while we watched him. It was similar last year, just not quite as bad and we stayed. I am kind of done with the Plaza as well, not the first place in there were the service was so so. We stay downtown at least 1 time a year, there just other places.

Maria at the Carousel bar is clearly very unhappy with her job. We ordered several drinks, one of which was a vodka soda that tasted like it had jalapeño in it. We asked if she could re-make that drink before we paid, and she attempted to snatch the credit card out of our hands before she fixed the problem. She then proceeded to call us rude and refuse service, all because we didn't like her drink. Customer service is subpar. Why are you so mad, Maria?

Today’s Halloween was ruined by a terrible incident that happened at this bar. Like many others, we were strolling in costumes, enjoying the holiday, when we approached this establishment. A huge security guard rudely told us that we couldn’t enter because of our costumes, even though it was Halloween. We calmly replied that we wouldn’t go inside and would simply walk around, but despite this, the guard suddenly attacked me. He yelled, pushed me, ruined my costume, and completely destroyed my mood. It’s absolutely unclear how such people can work with visitors – no sense of communication, no respect for guests, especially during a holiday. I’m very disappointed and offended, and I can’t understand why this bar allows its staff to treat customers like this. I strongly advise against visiting this place – such behavior towards guests is simply unacceptable.

We came to Vegas for my birthday and after finding this bar we always came back! David was so kind and thoughtful and Luis was absolutely incredible! Definitely the spot to be when you’re visiting Fremont street for some good reasonably priced drinks and amazing service. ? thank you!

My coffee drink ($13) was amazing and so was the view of the bar. Bartenders are very friendly and energetic.
This place is actually really cool. You just have to get there before midnight during the weekdays.
If you see a buff guy with a lot of tattoos that’s Dustin. He’s a really calm and helpful guy. We got to sit down enjoy the people experiencing Fremont street. Then he politely came over and let us all know it was last call. We definitely will be returning to this iconic location!

We went for our after wedding photography and the staff was so nice! They gave us champagne to toast and for photos. We loved it so much we went back the next day and had another stellar experience! We will go back when we visit Vegas again. The lights are amazing, location is central to everything Fremont. Great drinks and even better service!

The Carousel Bar was actually our very first stop after checking in to our Hotel. My brother and I were actually looking very forward to trying this place out, since they finally did something with that area.
We belly up to the bar sat down and waited for about Five minutes before anyone actually took notice of us being there, besides the other three people a few seats away from us.
A Gentleman was setting up and said I'm sorry I'm actually not on shift at the moment, but I'll send one of the other two ladies over. After another Five minutes one actually came over and took our drink order which was just a couple beers on tap. We both ordered two different types on tap, and when we received them they were very cold actually which was nice as it was 109°F that day. After a couple of sips I said to my brother is your Beer just as Skunky as mine ( yes he said ) so we mentioned it to the Bartender and she poured them out. So we decided to just order a couple of the Local canned beers in the cooler. Those were much better and very cold...
So after having our first Beers it still took her forever to ask us if we would like anything else. So we only had another drink each and asked for our Bill as well. We actually were surprised that she didn't take ( both skunk Beers off the Bill )
I would have loved to have given the Carousel Bar a Five for Atmosphere, but the service was so slow it took the Atmosphere away from the entire experience that we were actually looking very forward to.
And a tip I would definitely suggest if you were ever thinking of trying a Draft Beer, is ask for a sample taste to see if it's Skunky. And just mentioned I've heard some of the Beers are Skunky On Tap. Because that sits outside all day, plus some of the Beer deliveries may not be in refrigerated trucks. So that may even cause it to be Skunky as well...
Carousel Bar is such a fabulous idea, but it definitely needs a little work in our opinion. Hopefully it was just an off day, but I've read a few others on here, it seems to be the same service we had as well with some others.
Will definitely give it a try again when we come back. But if it's the same as the first time. There's no way will be going back, as there's plenty of other great places we can go to.

What a reasonably priced and valuable bar! For Vegas, I was so mind blown at the cost to value ratio of this bar. Made me wonder why I went to any other bar :) Luis was one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. He was so friendly and inviting and talented at bar tricks. I go to Vegas often and I can guarantee I will go back, especially for him! I loved this bar. My friend and I spent all day and night here and at the end of the night there were fireworks right atop the bar. Really enjoyed this place and the atmosphere.
