It's always a pleasure dining at the Charcoal room. Juan always takes care of us to bring what we need table side. I watched as he trained Jasmine with patience as he explained the table numbers and the work flow of the dining room. Ofcourse the food is always amazing!
I ordered king crab legs at mp which had to be taken back. They were bland and water logged. They brought out another order which I asked them to be grilled and seasoned. They were better, but I wish that would've passed altogether because I have been sick all day!! Stomach hurts and a headache, no energy at all. Just sick! Bad seafood!
Our tasting experience was very good....however, to charge $2.00 for a damn ice cube is ridiculous! If you want people to stop coming back there, for that one reason, then by all means, continue to charge $2 for a frozen ice rock! That definitely is stopping us from returning for a while.
Amazing. Food service. Love the buffalo trace experience. Really hope they offer that or something like that again Were in!!
My daughter and I wanted to have a nice dinner and visit. Service was very good, the ambiance was nice and the food was pretty good. I ordered the Wagyu steak rare. The flavor was good and tender, but steak was med rare. My daughter ordered fried chicken. She said it was OK and left much on her plate. We ordered the recommended dessert (I don't know what it was) but it was good and plentiful. Value dinner for the price.
Food always on point and service is exceptional. Tried the fried chicken 1st time..was tasty, could use some garlic salt but the sage gravy made up for it.
This was the 6th or 7th (AND LAST) time we have been here. In the past visits it was totally the food that was barely good. This time the food was okay but our server Craig was the most condescending rude server we have had in this valley in 25 years. We will never go back and only hope when we go elsewhere he hasn't moved to wherever we go. The volume of choices in this valley make it so we literally can go to 100 other steakhouses with as good or most likely better food and not a completely unprofessional, rude, cocky, arrogant and completely egocentric server. Do better, I know I did when I was a server!
Food is always good however this time we were given a table near the front door in the bar area. Was extremely noisy and couldn't hear the person next to me . Terrible echo, people around the bar were noisy and they have music in that area a touch loud. I would recommend this restaurant but sit in the back.
New chef. Smaller portions. Steaks were the not great. Left disappointed for the first time in 8 years of going there for just about every major event. We would choose the Charcoal Room over every other place. Now I feel like I wouldn't choose to go back on my own. The only things we were happy about was the bread basket and the service!
The quality of the food this last session went down. The filet mignon had an off, putting flavor to it, and the lobster was dried out. However, the beef tartare is extraordinary as usual.

4 of us , 2 of us had steak mine was cooked perfectly & flavor was good , the bread was great, we had shareable sides , corn , green beans, sweet potatoes & shitaki peppers ... my grandson liked his salmon & my granddaughter had chicken ... my Only complaint is food was just warm ... only thing that was Hot was the bread ... they also didn't mention they had a lobster & steak special which is what i would have had . Saw the special on a sign by lobby doors as we were leaving ... loved the guitar music & the fact he played soft, which is proper for dining ... that's about it . I gave only 3 or 4 stars.because of food temp ... oh & the Shiite peppers didn't appear fresh so we're not eaten
Drinks were okay. Service was not great even though there were 4 people behind the bar and they had just opened. Appetizers were okay, I had the meatballs, cheesesteak sliders, and the croquettes which were odd. I was there for about an hour and a half, after a few drinks and apps I ordered to go; a chicken caesar salad $28, gelato $11, and Mac n cheese $11...so $50 worth of food and while I waited I had another drink. I closed out my check and they had said goodbye have a good evening and I left. But I left without my food and being a guest in the hotel and having just used a comp and room charging they certainly could have attempted to call my room or something anything. Nope. Nothing. Then when I call the next day they tell me that they can remake it but they would have to charge me again because they made it the first time... like are you serious right now? It's a salad , a side of Mac n cheese, and gelato. I guess president status really doesn't mean much at all.
As always, their steaks are excellent. Very tender and tasteful. Service is great. We always have a very good meal at the Charcoal Room.
Food very good. Service very good. Ambience very good. Too overpriced for a local casino and may not be worth the experience.
As a local who has been here multiple times, this experience was dreadful, to say the least. I left a review on Yelp, and so here we go open table. We sat for over 10 minutes to get water, and then the bread came after we asked for it twice. We requested oil and vinegar, but it didn't show up for 15 minutes. The appetizers (calamari and bacon wrapped shrimp) were good, but that was it. The main course meals (scallops, roasted chicken, salmon, and the special steak and lobster) were unappetizing, to say the least. I have never had an experience like this at any of the charcoal rooms before.
