The food was outstanding. The prices were not "cheap," but very reasonable for a steakhouse. Good selection of wine at various price points. Worth considering if you have a special occasion.
A perfect place for great food and for a great price. This is our 3rd time here and every time we come here we will go back to it. Between the servers and the staff was amazing friendly and will help you out any way they can to make sure you food is prefect.

Food was great as usual. However, we arrived 8 minutes before our reserved time and were told to come back 8 minutes later, which was strange, to say the least, because there were tables available and ready. Then, we waited 50 minutes before our food finally arrived. It was the first time that we had to wait that long. It could be because it was a Wednesday, when Rewards points are worth twice as much?
We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 40th anniversary, and also treat a sister to a birthday dinner. It was a wonderful experience. We were seated promptly, and our servers were attentive the entire evening. They were on top of everything, bringing an order of fries for the youngster right away. The food was amazing, steaks cooked to perfection, chicken tender and moist. The Chilean Sea Bass was cooked just right. The margarita was very tasty, and hubby enjoyed his Old Fashioned. The bill was high because almost everything is a la carte, but I think it was less than other "fancy" places in the Vegas area. We thought it was worth the price for this very special occasion, and we would definitely return when we're in the area again.
The food arrived after an hour, which was a significant disappointment. Even though the rib eye steak and blackened salmon were delicious, the overall experience was diminished. The side beans were another letdown—they were chewy. We informed our server about the issue, and she claimed they made them “al dente.” However, we insisted they were too chewy to swallow, and she replaced them with spinach. She even revealed that the chef had tried them raw. To make matters worse, we had to ask for the bill three times and were late to our next gig. I had high hopes for this restaurant, which I chose to treat my friend for her birthday. It turned out to be a disappointing experience. No one would want to reminisce about a poor dining experience on a special occasion. The only saving grace was the great dancing that followed at Rocks Lounge Red Rock Casino.
Service was so slow we spent 3 hours there. Food definitely not worth going back for. Their burgers are terrible there is enough lettuce on them to make a wedge salad. The chicken was not what I would call a specialty.
The worst dining experience ever for a fine dining place known for charcoal steaks cooked to perfection. My first filet mignon that I ordered medium rare was medium well. The second they brought was seared with a butane torch because all you could taste were chemicals. No apologies from management and he said it was cooked in a flat top. What? Charcoal room and the steak was cooked on a flat top? What..did they spray it down with a cleaner, fail to wipe it off and slap my 60 dollar steak on it to taste only of chemicals. I thought maybe I was nuts and losing it so I gave bites to my dining partners and they said the same. It only tasted of chemicals. So I finally got the servers attention, Diane, and asked for the manager and told her I wanted him to taste it. 10 minutes later he arrived only to say he wouldn't taste it. It was cooked on a flat top, no butane. I owned a restaurant. I know better. So, happy father's day. Ruined by a restaurant that should know better. Then I got my bill..I said I returned my dinner and I expect credit for what was not eaten because it was very bad. They credited only the steak. What? You got my whole order returned because without the meat, I'm going to just eat fries? So then they adjusted that. But still..my husband's dinner was 75 bucks, he had a salad that was 11 and I had a glass of wine for 17.that doesn't come to 115 I don't care what math class you take. No tax as I'm a chairman and no tax on the bill when you are a top tier player. Our waitress offered no apologies..nor the manager. We've been eating there for 3.7 years, ever since we moved here. It was once a great dining experience. Tonight was a total failure. It was fun and really good and for the last 2 years, not so much. Even when I told my husband I booked the charcoal room for father's day because the special was short ribs, and he loves short ribs, he said are you sure? It's sucked the last few times we went. I said we'd try again. Never again. I owned a restaurant. I'd have comped the whole thing including my wine, the only thing I wound up having for dinner, to ensure my guests were happy. I've spent many tens of thousands there. I mean, many. If you can't take care of your high rollers, your loyal customers and gamblers. What do you think will happen? They will let the public know. And I'm letting you know. It isn't worth it. It failed on every level for a fine dining restaurant and enjoyable experience. Sante fe station...you were once the rising star..the secret great steak house. You aren't any longer. And sadly, we won't be back. Nor will all the people I once boasted about you to. You failed. You should have been more consumer savvy. You could have avoided this lengthy diatribe of your inability to be what you once were.

We have dined here many times before and were completely satisfied. However, last night Fathers Day my Rib Eye was ordered medium rare and it came out raw. Everyone else's meal was exactly how they ordered it and our waiter was "best seen to date"!! We will give it another try.
Justin served us and He was very nice and attentive to our needs. I ordered the grass fed filet mignon and the Brussel sprouts. My Husband ordered the bone in Ribeye, asparagus and mushrooms with Garlic cilantro sauce. Warm Bread /Butter was brought immediately, Nice freshly baked. My steak was prepared Medium Plus and was really good I ate the whole steak which doesn't happen often. My husband's was ordered medium rare and he also enjoyed his steak. He was happy they had Mountain Dew. 😏 Hey it was Fathers Day. We also ordered dessert, a flourless chocolate cake and Crème brûlée both were nice Coffee was rather weak but the overall experience was nice and we will be returning. Thank you Justin we had a nice experience and we appreciated that.

We used to dine at charcoal room 20 years ago and it was absolutely divine back then. Last night we decided to go back and celebrate our daughter's birthday. Our experience was less than desirable. It was extremely loud because of the bar, the customers and the music. It was very difficult to have a conversation due to the amount of noise . For the amount of money we were charged for the food, I can't give you more than one star. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered grass fed steaks, they were over cooked as were the potatoes. Our biggest disappointment was the quality of the food for the price we paid. Our waiter and staff were definitely stretched thin. They were very nice , but still stretched and it definitely was felt and observed. I can't believe how much things have changed since we were last there. Definitely a huge decline in the value and the quality of what used to be a very upscale restaurant. I also cannot believe that you allow folks to bring in their dogs to dine as well. We watched a customer bring in a schnauzer in a stroller of all things! Like I said just a huge decline in quality overall.
The entire experience was really good. The service was real good, and so was the food. My wife and I each had a ribeye which was prepared exactly the way we asked for it.
We took our family to The Charcoal Room to celebrate Fathers Day. The sea bass, Gelato, baked potato, Basque cake and bar drinks were all excellent. Portions were large enough that my husband and I could split a dinner.
Overpriced food. The shrimp cocktail was barely ok. The shrimp was not that fresh, rubbery, in fact. The salmon was way overcooked and unflavored. Would not go back ever again.
I have dined at the Charcoal Room at the Sante Fe Station 3 times now. This is the first time that I have ordered a steak at a "steak house" and never was asked if it was cooked to the temperature I requested. Our waitress also never asked if we wanted desert. The food was good and the additional wait staff that bused our table were outstanding. The bill, with a good tip, was almost three hundred dollars for two people. I would hope that the service would be improved somewhat.
