I admit to having a soft spot for DQ/Orange Julius. These two titans of “cool treats” were staples growing up. Whenever I’d travel to the big city with the family, if we came across one of these in the mall, it was a proverbial “must stop.” Whether it was DQ with their soft serve (and the curl at the top!), or Orange Julius with their frothy beverages, it was a welcomed treat. We were walking the mall and decided it was ice cream time. We just got the soft serve dipped in chocolate. They were up to the Dairy Queen standards that we are use to. They were very busy, but they handled it with patience and grace.
We saw Dairy Queen at the MGM food court overlooking Las Vegas Blvd., so we went upstairs. Had a hot dog and a chili cheese dog and a couple of milkshakes. Dairy Queen still has awesome ice cream!
