Don Tortaco Mexican Grill #7

Very disappointing.

I ordered chicken and what they served me was a totally tasteless dish. The chicken was white, without any kind of seasoning, it looked boiled without salt. In addition, it was brothy, as if they had taken it straight out of the water.

It had no flavor, no presentation, it was unpleasant to eat it.

I definitely don't recommend it and I wouldn't go back. When you go out to eat, you expect some minimal flavor, and this didn't even come close.

Went for the Tuesday chicken taco deal. Good tacos for $1.79. The green sauce was nice. The red tasted bad though.

Ordered cheese enchiladas and quesadillas. The food was pretty average for food. Didn't like not dislike but the pricing was very fair. Was not fond of the guac. Some customers were sus (vaping or drunk) but that's probably cuz it was 1 am. Service was slow and they were not busy. But to be fair genuinely open 24 hours. Would return if desperate and broke and there are no del tacos nearby.

This is the second time I have ordered from here. The first time the food was okay. I decided to try again and the food just was not good. The meat definitely was not fresh. The sour cream, guacamole and green sauce was thin and so obvious that all the sauces were watered down and lacked flavor. Others have had better experiences than me so I can't say this is an everyday practice but I will not be back.

Its tolerable. Chicken meat has no seasoning and very expensive. Went with friends at work but wouldnt go otherwise.

Always good food, with orders prepared quickly. Staff is very welcoming. My daughter loves it that she can get a breakfast burrito at any time.

Very clean and delicious. Lady @ register nice. I told them have not eaten Mexican chimichanga west coast style long time and missed it. Fresh and not oil dripping like other places.

02/25/25 07:14 p.m. Order# 103 2 Fish Burritos, 2 Beef Tacos, 1 Carne Asada Burrito with extra cheese, 1 Cheese Quesadilla. Girl who tried to take my order barely spoke a word of English. I had to repeat my order in Spanish to make sure she understood and got everything. Everything was rang up and my receipt says $45.93. After waiting over 30 minutes, she tried to tell me my order was ready but it was still missing the cheese quesadilla. After waiting almost another 10 minutes, I was finally given my order. She read off of their copy of my receipt to verify everything I ordered was in the bag. Stupid me didn't take the bag over to a table and take everything out with my daughters to verify everything was supposed to be in there. So when I got home I discovered I was given only 1 Fish Burrito. I waited for over 40 minutes just to have my order missing a $10 item, and like a complete idiot I placed $5 in the tip jar when I first gave my order. My Carne Asada burrito even had NO cheese on it at all after I paid for EXTRA cheese which is even notated on my receipt. Then when I tried calling to complain, the line was constantly busy as if they had taken the phone off of the hook to prevent people from calling in. I have had a long day and wanted to just sit and relax when I got home and eat my food while watching TV but I can't and I refuse to drive back to your restaurant because my anger and temper are so bad right now, I would probably say or do something I would later regret. I couldn't even enjoy the food I did receive but it was ice cold due to it taking over 40 minutes to make my order. I will NEVER eat any ANY of your restaurants again. With this level of incompetence, your business license should be revoked.

Decided to give Don tortaco a try since I've been passing them all over town. I really enjoyed the beef tamale smothered in a enchilada sauce then topped with cheese. I also gave the California burrito a try, this confirmed that I'm not a fan of having french fries inside my burritos, but I did like the quality of the meat and tortilla.
