Communists Are Garbage
You can walk from here back to the strip, it's not that far. I don't know how I forgot about this place except I always got totally drunk there. I just found a matchbook from the place cleaning out my truck. I saw a couple of bands here that were pretty well known punk rock acts. I saw a band or two here that played a small show before their huge show at The Hard Rock. Which is unfortunately now gone. But...the Double Down Saloon rocks on.

This place is awesome. No cover. Cheap drinks. Everyone there was super cool. The bartenders were attentive. We enjoyed the bands that played as well. Will definitely be back if we are ever in Vegas again.

Double Down is interesting! I would probably never go again if I saw the place with all the lights on. Anyway, I went to support a couple of people I know in the bass performance last night. I only gave one star for food because I wanted to say n/a, since there was none. Great place for old-school dive bar atmosphere! Great music.

I've been coming to this small bar for over 20 years, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere has that same welcoming vibe, and it's always a great spot to kick off the night. If you're looking to get the party started, definitely try the "Ass Juice"āit's a classic! This place may be small, but itās packed with personality.

When you look up dive in the dictionary, youāll find a picture of the DD. This is a dive bar that includes live punk music. Take your prom date someplace else. On a quiet Friday we found the bar area dark and somehow smokey with just a few regulars in attendance. The bartender was welcoming. And the small crew at the bar similarly friendly. A interesting blend of punk and rock pounded out of the juke box. Two jack and cokes cost much less than one fruity cocktail on the Strip. I didnāt order an āass-juiceā this time, but I certainly will when I return. I cannot image what the DD is like at 2 a.m. after a busy night of punk and general debauchery, but I intend to find out. God bless you and keep you DD. I like forward to my return. Oh yes, and the menās room is a delightful homage to New Yorkās long gone CBGB. Donāt miss it.
